‘It’s safe to say the Buffalo Bills’ wide receiver loves the spotlight that playing in prime time brings. The latest example came Monday in the home opener against the Tennessee Titans in front of a delirious crowd at Highmark Stadium.’

Bills expect confidence to meet confidence as they prepare to face Dolphins
‘It’s a deep hit’: Bills express concern after scary injury to Dane Jackson
‘“Dane has full movement in his extremities, which is good, and I mean you go from the real part of it here; you go from being a coach to just being a human when I’m out there watching him getting loaded into the ambulance,” McDermott said. “That’s a real moment. Just praying for him and it’s an unfortunate situation, but we’re praying for him, and hopefully we get some more here soon.’
Bills 41, Titans 7: How it happened, stars of the game, key plays
‘The third quarter, though, turned into an offensive outburst for the Bills. The Bills scored 24 points, including three touchdowns, in the 15-minute frame, beginning with Allen’s 46-yard touchdown to Diggs that gave the Bills an 24-7 lead and capped off an efficient seven-play, 80-yard drive of two minutes, 26 seconds. Bass’ second field goal opened the lead to 27-7, and Jordan Poyer’s interception set up Allen’s third touchdown pass to Diggs, a 14-yard pass that made it 34-7 with 5:34 left in the third.’
Plays that shaped the game: Bills show off weaponry in blowing out Titans
‘Big plays in the passing game came from targets all over the field, as the Bills had too many weapons for the Titans’ defense.’
Report Card: Bills are near perfect in blowout win over Titans
‘The final numbers were aided in a big way by a 33-yard gain by rookie running back James Cook on the final, garbage-time drive of the game. Otherwise, this was a classic “why run it when you can throw it every play” game. Devin Singletary had a nice, 16-yard gain on the second play from scrimmage, but highlight plays were few and far between in the running game. Singletary finished with just 19 yards on six carries, so his other five attempts produced just 3 yards. Zack Moss had a 17-yard gain, and finished with those 17 yards on three carries. Fans wanting to see Josh Allen run the ball got their wish. Allen attempted just one rush, but it was a good one. He pulled off a hurdle of sorts – let’s call it a half-hurdle – on a 10-yard gain in the first quarter that converted a third-and-9 play. As a team, the Bills finished with 101 yards on 24 carries – an average of 4.2 yards per rush. By and large, though, it was tough sledding.’
Marv Levy comes back to Buffalo, because … you know the rest
‘With his wife, Fran, their daughter, Kimberly, and 7-year-old grandson, Georgey, looking on from a suite, Levy took the field, and the microphone, and granted some 60,000 fans the same experience his own teams had in the locker room just a short jog up the tunnel.’
Bills nearly flawless in slaughter of the Titans on Monday Night Football
‘The Titans have just been a physically tough matchup with their powerful ground game and stout defense. That is, until Monday night as the Bills ran them out of the stadium in a memorable home opener that featured yet another virtuoso performance from the firm of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, and a dominant defensive effort that throttled Derrick Henry and forced four turnovers.’
Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs unstoppable, Bills’ defense overcomes injuries to whip Titans
‘The Bills have been one of the most fortunate teams in the NFL the past two years when it comes to injuries, but these things always seem to even out and two weeks into a season filled with Super Bowl aspirations, the Bills are already facing some trouble.’
Jackson’s injury taints impressive Buffalo victory
‘Those losses left Buffalo with Jackson and rookie draft choices Kaiir Elam (first round) and Christian Benford (sixth) as the top three corners until White returns, with Cam Lewis and kicking team specialist Siran Neal in reserve. Buffalo also has two rookie corners on the practice squad, Kyler McMichael and Ja’Marcus Ingram.’
After blowing out Titans, Von Miller says Bills aren’t just playing to win: ‘We got a team full of killers’
‘Determined to flip the story, the Bills responded to that first score by clamping down so hard on Henry and the Titans offense that it didn’t score another point the rest of the game. Tennessee had 10 more possessions in the game and punted six times, Ryan Tannehill threw two interceptions and it lost a fumble late in the fourth quarter.’
Stefon Diggs destroys Titans in 3-TD explosion to lead Bills on Monday Night Football
‘Allen targeted his All Pro receiver 14 times and Diggs came away with 12 catches for 148 yards. Only Tyreek Hill (284) has more receiving yards through two weeks of the season. Diggs leads the NFL in touchdowns (4). According to ESPN Stats & Info, Diggs is the first player since Steve Smith in 2007 with at least 250 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his team’s first two games.’
Bills’ Dane Jackson leaves game vs. Titans in ambulance after scary hit to neck area
‘Jackson, who was down for about five minutes before he was placed on a stretcher, left the field in an ambulance to cheers from fans in attendance at Highmark Stadium. Jackson was taken to ECMC for further evaluation following what the team said was a neck injury. He’ll get a CT scan and an X-ray, but the team added that he has full movement in his extremities.’
Bills make Titans’ Derrick Henry look ordinary; Josh Allen dominates in 41-7 MNF win (Report card)
‘It was an uneven night for the backs, but there were some positives for each back and the fullback.’
Bills embarrass Titans; Allen, Diggs put on exciting show in front of sellout crowd in home opener
‘A few other Bills injuries put a damper on an otherwise celebratory night in Orchard Park, with veteran defensive players Micah Hyde (neck), Matt Milano (stinger) and Jordan Phillips (hamstring) all leaving the game during the second half and not returning.’
