‘It’s no surprise that former Bills assistant general manager and now New York Giants GM Joe Schoen, who was on Buffalo’s staff when the team signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2021, jumped at the chance to get McCloud off waivers on Wednesday. He played cornerback, safety, and was a heavy contributor on special teams for the Bills throughout training camp. It appeared he made the roster when the Bills had him practice on Tuesday with the rest of the player who made the team. But he was released a few hours later and available to other teams on waivers.’
