Top 3 things to know from Day 12 of 2022 Bills Training Camp
‘”It was a good test for us here the other night to get a little bit of that type of action,” Dorsey said. “These preseason games will be good for that communication and just to continue to grow and get a feel for each other and that smoothness of being able to do those things.”‘
Rookie receiver Khalil Shakir is a ‘special kid’
‘“I’ve got to match that level of intensity,” Shakir told The Buffalo News. “And if I don’t, they’re going to call me out for it. So it’s definitely a room that I love being in. It’s an exciting room that every single day I wake up, I’m happy I get to go in there and just learn from those guys.”’
Von Miller hosts first Von’s Vision Reveal Day in Buffalo
‘“This is the biggest turnout we’ve ever had,” Miller said. “Some kids don’t even know that they need glasses. … To even out the playing field in the classroom for these kids, especially getting ready to go back to school, is huge. I feel super blessed, and I feel super excited for the kids.’
Bills Mailbag: Opinions on the Wall of Fame, Josh Allen, the OL and Tom Brady
‘If you let McKenzie in, would this open the door to more guys at other positions who don’t have Pro Bowl credentials? Maybe a bunch. How many other Bills linemen would need to get in? Almost none. Guard Ruben Brown is a lock. I love tackle Will Wolford, and I think he was a slightly better player than McKenzie. Wolford made two Pro Bowls for Buffalo. But he played 102 games (seven seasons), well short of McKenzie. I think Wolford falls just short of the Wall of Fame. It should be hard to make it. It’s a close call on McKenzie, who was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 2016. He’s one of the most mobile pulling guards the Bills ever had. I’m on the fence.’
Von Miller is giving student the gift of sight
‘Not only did Miller give free glasses and eye exams to students to help cut costs, he also wanted to make sure students would have everything they needed to be successful in the classroom.’

Von Miller already making an impact in the Buffalo community
‘Von’s Vision Foundation is focused on serving the city of Buffalo. On May 21, the foundation hosted local students who needed prescription glasses at Atwal Eye Care’s Cheektowaga and Orchard Park locations for eye exams and ‘pick your pair’ day where they picked out their glasses frames. Saturday, Miller presented these children with their brand-new glasses that they picked out back in May.’
‘Return of Blue & Red’ practice a taste of Bills Mafia for new players: ‘It’s easy to fall in love with this place’
‘“I think this is probably the most fans I’ve ever played in front of, and it’s crazy that it was a practice, right?” Shakir said. “As we’re driving in, just traffic everywhere. They said the roads were going to be shut down or something like that, and I was like ‘Oh, it can’t be too bad. It’s a practice.’’
Highmark observations: Josh Allen, Gabe Davis look good before big crowd
‘A lot of fantasy football fans are wondering what to make of the Davis, the third-year receiver stepping into a full-time starting role. Davis continued his excellent training camp performance with five catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns over four possessions by the starting offense.’
Bills rookie’s tattoo speak of his grief. His play on the field speaks of his resilience.

7 takeaways from Bills’ Return of the Blue & Red scrimmage
‘Gabe Davis put on a show in front of the Bills Mafia at Highmark Stadium. Once the team began their 11 on 11 session, Davis was virtually unguardable. He opened with a touchdown reception from Josh Allen. On the first team offense’s second series, Allen went to Davis on back-to-back plays including one big gainer. Davis added a second touchdown later in practice with Dane Jackson attempting to cover the receiver. Davis would find the end zone one more time on a two-point conversion from Allen with Kaiir Elam in coverage.’
