‘Ford spent the last three seasons with the Bills and was drafted by them in the second round (38th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.’

Bills release two players
‘NFL teams are required to set their rosters to a maximum of 80 players by Tuesday, August 23 at 4 pm ET.’
From no Power 5 offers to starting NFL punter, Matt Araiza earns his role with Buffalo Bills
‘Field-position-changing plays like that will now be a more permanent sight in Buffalo as Araiza was officially named the team’s starting punter on Monday, beating out Matt Haack for the job. Araiza will also be the primary holder on field goal and PAT attempts for Tyler Bass. The news was obviously exciting to the rookie punter but he also said it means he has to continue to prove why he was the right choice.’
Bills Today | ESPN Quarterback rankings + NFL’s top nine defenses in 2022
‘Bills QB Josh Allen was ranked in 10 of the 12 categories in ESPN’s top 10 NFL quarterbacks in specific traits and abilities, and how they compare in each skill area compared to the other top signal-callers in the league.’
Pollock: Nothing to criticize in Bills’ victory
‘But for the fans, there was little to criticize in Buffalo’s 10th straight preseason victory. Well, one thing. With the Bills’ offensive dominance, they only punted once, that honor going to incumbent Matt Haack. Thus, “Punt God” Matt Araiza, the rookie who unleashed an 82-yarder against the Colts, was limited to holding for extra points.’
With injury issues behind him, Bills running back Zack Moss no longer a forgotten man on offense
‘“I think you kind of saw a little bit of the old Zack in terms of, one, the physicality,” offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey said last week ahead of the game against Denver. “The first play of the game, he is hitting that thing downhill, lowering his shoulder, getting tough yards on a physical run. Then he comes back later in the game and he cuts one back and bounces out there, makes a guy miss and extends a run that maybe he might not be able to do last year. So I think you do see some of that stuff. It’s exciting to see kind of the health factor coming back.”’
Bills Mailbag: Spencer Brown’s still not starting; will he be by the season opener?
‘Based on Brown’s rookie season, he has long been viewed as the favorite to be the starting right tackle, and that’s still where I would bet he ends up. Brown played 14 snaps against the Denver Broncos on Saturday. If he can have a good, full week of practice, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Bills gave him at least some work Friday against the Carolina Panthers. If he comes through that feeling good, I’d predict he will be the starter against the Rams. It’s clear, though, the Bills are comfortable with Quessenberry, and they want Brown to prove to them that he’s ready to play 60-plus snaps, if necessary.’
Bills players booed head coach Sean McDermott for this decision he made vs. Broncos
‘So on the Bills’ first 4th down of the game with just over 8 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, McDermott sent out veteran punter Matt Haack. “I got booed by a couple of the players on our sideline so those guys will no longer make the team,” McDermott joked after the game. “One guy did cheer for me and he’ll make the team (smirking). Yeah, unpopular decision on the sideline, but I wanted again, to get our punt unit out there and evaluate some of those guys as well.”’
Bills safety duo Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer crack NFL Top-100 players for 2022
‘Previously Von Miller was the only other Buffalo player on the list coming in at No. 93.’
Stefon Diggs ranked No. 26 on the NFL Top 100 Players List
‘Among other NFL wide receivers, the 2021 NFL Pro Bowler finished in the top 10 in receptions (103), receiving yards, touchdowns, and targets (164).’
Jordan Poyer checks in at No. 45 on the NFL Top 100 Players List
‘Last season, Poyer had one of his best seasons when it came to interceptions. Adding to his career-total 20 INT, Poyer tied a career-high with five interceptions last season.’
Bills safety Micah Hyde ranked No. 50 on NFL Top 100
‘Hyde played in all 17 games in 2021, tying his career-high of five interceptions and two fumble recoveries. His pick-six against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs last year was Hyde’s first-ever INT return for a touchdown.’
Bills Today | Knox family at the forefront of Bills’ minds during preseason victory
‘”We had a couple of things that happened in the building, like with Dawson, and we have angels,” offensive tackle Dion Dawkins said. “So, we play with our energy, and we play with our power.”‘
Observations: Josh Allen, other Bills’ starters shine in brief, dominant showing against Broncos
‘The decision by coach Sean McDermott to play his starters, including quarterback Josh Allen, understandably created some angst in Bills Mafia, given the threat of injury it poses. So, you could feel the collective exhale from fans when Allen was lifted after just one possession. Allen’s lone drive, which lasted just six plays, ended in the end zone, as he connected with wide receiver Gabe Davis for a 28-yard touchdown.’
Bills quarterback Case Keenum bounces back in second preseason game
‘In the week in between the two preseason games, the 10-year veteran particularly focused on ball security. Coach Sean McDermott watched Keenum’s self-evaluation and corrections start immediately.’
