‘All three players have rotated through equal playing time throughout the preseason, drawing into question Howard’s presumed guaranteed status on the roster. It would be surprising if the Bills cut Howard, as such a move would carry a dead cap hit of over $2 million. But with Morris and Sweeney showing well early on and Howard failing to make his presence felt on a regular basis, there is a slight chance the Bills could be inclined to find a trade partner to unload Howard and make room for Sweeney and Morris. Or perhaps choose one of them to usurp Howard as the team’s secondary option at the position.’
