‘”The team is just such a really cool group of guys. I always tell the rookies when they come in, ‘You really won’t ever be around a better group of men,’ Just the relationships that we built in Buffalo … those are relationships that we’ve built over the years that’s really second to none, and I can’t really think of a better situation for me to be in than Buffalo right now,” Poyer said.’

Von Miller Says He Intends to Fulfill Six-Year Bills Contract
‘”This is a six-year deal, so I’m looking forward to playing the whole thing,” Miller told the Buffalo News last month at minicamp. “I’m trying to play the whole thing out. Tom Brady’s done it. Bruce Smith has done it. All the guys that I look up to when it comes to longevity in careers. So I just take it one day at a time, and I’m just gonna take whatever God gives me. My intention is to play the whole thing out.”‘
Bills questions: Can Gabriel Davis build on breakout season, thrive as Bills’ No. 2 wide receiver?
‘“We were very confident in Gabe last year,” General Manager Brandon Beane said. “It’s just you had a guy with the skins on the wall that Emmanuel Sanders had. But I think Gabe played a lot. And the thing about Gabe is every time his number’s called and I’m talking about back to his rookie year, every time his number was called, he answers the bell.’
Bills questions: What’s realistic to expect from Von Miller at age 33?
This is a six-year deal, so I’m looking forward to playing the whole thing,” Miller said at minicamp. “I’m trying to play the whole thing out. Tom Brady’s done it, Bruce Smith has done it. All the guys that I look up to when it comes to longevity in careers. So I just take it one day at a time, and I’m just gonna take whatever God gives me. My intention is to play the whole thing out. I’m a real sicko when you get to know me. My mindset is different.”
Bills Mailbag: Dolphins loom as biggest division threat but AFC contenders abound
‘New coach Mike McDaniel brings the Kyle Shanahan offense to South Florida, which is a good thing. Miami shored up its offensive line by spending $15 million a year on Saints Pro Bowl left tackle Terron Armstead. They’re still counting on Austin Jackson at right tackle, no certain proposition. You have to love the weapons, with Tyreek Hill joining Jaylen Waddle at receiver, along with a good receiving tight end in Mike Gesicki. The Miami defense is solid overall and very good at cornerback. I’m not sure they have enough pass rush.’
Matakevich brings back camp for young football players to St. Joseph
‘“I love it up there,” Matakevich said. “Buffalo’s just a blue-collar city. That’s what I love. I feel like I’m right at home. It’s a special place, a special team up there. Coach (Sean) McDermott is an awesome coach. Shoot, some of the guys are pretty good,” he said, adding with a laugh, “that quarterback we’ve got, Josh Allen, he’s not bad, you know?”’
Remembering Abe, ‘Magician,’ and Lamonica
‘Back in the days when the media had much more access to the locker room, it was clear how much the players idolized Abe and were secure in the knowledge that what they said in the training room stayed there. He was not about to betray their confidence.’
Bills questions: Is there sufficient depth along the offensive line?
‘The Bills started and finished last offseason with nine offensive lineman on the active roster, eight of whom were active on game day. The assumed starters heading into the 2022 season include Saffold, along with returners Dion Dawkins (left tackle), Spencer Brown (right tackle), Mitch Morse (center) and Ryan Bates (right guard). Of those players, the only spot that might be remotely up for grabs in training camp is right guard, given that Bates is still new to the position, having only become a full-time starter last season in Week 16.’
Expect a parking squeeze when the new Bills stadium opens
‘Plans for the new 1.35-million-square-foot facility – designed by architectural firm Populous – call for a new 62,000-seat stadium, including a large public plaza area at the main entrance, at Abbott Road just south of Southwestern Boulevard. That’s smaller than the current facility, which seats nearly 72,000 fans. The current stadium eventually will be demolished to make room for parking.’
First look: Buffalo Bills new stadium proposal shows potential footprint of new facilities in Orchard Park
‘The site plan, put together by the Bills, shows the proposed footprint and orientation for the new stadium, along with the location of operations buildings, team facilities and parking, that will take up roughly 283 acres.’
Carucci Take2 Bills Mailbag: How much pressure should Sean McDermott feel if Bills fall short of Super Bowl?
‘I wouldn’t venture to predict how Terry and Kim Pegula would view it, but I doubt they’d have any appetite to hit the reset button. McDermott and General Manager Brandon Beane continue to represent as competent a leadership duo as the Bills have ever had. Patience tends to be rare for owners of pro sports franchises. They’ve heard all of the complaints about coaching decisions that proved costly in the divisional-round loss at Kansas City last January, and certainly have their own opinions about what unfolded in those fateful final 13 seconds of regulation.’
Erie County releases Bills stadium complex site plans
‘These plans are part of the required SEQR process, which can now begin. It is basically an environmental review under state law of the planning for the new $1.4 billion Bills stadium.’
In-Depth: Buffalo Bills new stadium plans
‘Erie County, the current stadium landlord, has to lead this work until the land and stadium complex are eventually turned over to a new state agency, which will in turn lease it back to the Bills organization owned by the Pegulas.’
Bills questions: Is Zack Moss on the roster bubble?
‘If Cook’s versatility allows him to quickly carve out a role, Moss’ playing time could shrink. Still, Moss’ physical style does differentiate him, and he has two years remaining on his rookie contract.’
Buffalo Bills RB James Cook attempts to paint team logo with other 2022 rookies (Watch)
‘This is not the first time that the NFL has done something like this. Back in 2018, the NFL asked rookies to draw their team logos. Bills quarterback Josh Allen took part in the activity using Sharpies to try and create the team logo. The end result of Allen’s drawing looked like a smiling blue potato. The quarterback’s drawing has been turned into a t-shirt, earrings, car decal and more.’
