‘Hodgins had his moments at minicamp, but he will need to be consistent this summer to claim a roster spot. Marquez Stevenson, a 2021 draft pick, has the speed that Buffalo is looking for on offense, but he needs to be more consistent catching the ball.’

Former Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick joins Amazon as Thursday Night Football pregame analyst

The search for community benefits to the Bills stadium deal
‘“The primary focus of the Community Benefits Plan to a certain extent is to make sure that segments of the population get a chance to participate in the benefits that come about – specifically I’m going to say the economic development benefits – that come about as a result of the stadium being built,” Evans said.’
6 superlatives from the 2022 Bills offseason
‘”I think (defensive line coach) Eric Washington and (Assistant defensive line coach) Marcus West are doing a really good job of laying a foundation fundamentally for the guys that are here,” said Frazier. “There’s a lot of turnover at the position. So, we really had to go back to the drawing board when it came to introducing them to how we do things on defense. And I think the guys would grasp that and they’re growing through the process. But it’s a process and there’s a lot more to come and training camp will be a big part of our progression and how well we end up becoming as the year goes on.”‘

The other panelists are Colts’ offensive coordinator Marcus Brady, Texans’ offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton, Steelers’ President, and NFL Workplace Diversity Committee Chair Art Rooney II and 49ers’ Defensive Coordinator Demeco Ryans.’
Isaiah McKenzie aims to step out of Cole Beasley’s shadow for Bills
‘“It’s been fun, just talking to Josh, getting the ball from Josh and everything like that,” McKenzie said. “We’re communicating like him and Beas were communicating. … It’s just the communication of it all. It’s certain words and certain signals that he gave Beas. I mean I watched. But now I’m in it, I got to do those. Some tweaks here and there, maybe we can come up with our own some day. But being behind Beas, he taught me a lot.”‘
Bills’ McKenzie is working to take advantage of more playing time this season.
‘McKenzie knows what has been said, but he never lets it get in the way, “I just never stop going, I look at the noise, but I don’t listen to it, so I just keep going to go about my day, whether it’s on the field or off the field, I do what I do and I may let some people know along the way and if they don’t believe me, oh well.”‘
Ed Oliver Sees Similarities Between Von Miller And Jerry Hughes
‘”They’ve actually kind of similar in a way of just like how they carry themselves or how they, like approached the game and stuff like this,” Oliver said. “So, it’s kind of similar to having an older vet. I kind of see like now you get to talk about guys in the thirties and been in the game for ten plus years…Jerry wasn’t in a league for no other reason than why Von was in the league and has just taken care of the body. Making plays and stuff like that. You only stay around because of how you treat your body and how you attack the day and the work day and stuff like that.”‘
Bills Today | Are the Bills set up for long-term success?
‘From the day Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane arrived, they have made consistently smart team building moves. I worked with Sean for over a decade, and he’s in the top 5 head coaches in the league, if not higher. Their personnel decisions and execution have been excellent to the point that I think they have the best team they’ve had with this regime. They’ve also excelled in hiring. When you get a new coach, teams can be really good for 3-4 years until they start losing some of their coaches. They may not do quite as well when they don’t have the same caliber assistant coaches. Yet, Sean has done a great job of keeping a strong staff together, which will help them sustain success.’
With minicamp in the books, a Bills 53-man roster projection ahead of training camp
‘Analysis: The Bills bringing in Van Roten this month suggests they’re still not entirely comfortable with their depth up front. That’s a bad sign for Ford, who will go down as Beane’s worst draft pick to date if he indeed doesn’t make the team. Van Roten, Quessenberry and Mancz give the Bills three experienced veterans as depth options behind their projected starters. Tenuta, a draft pick this year, is squarely on the roster bubble. He figures to be named to the practice squad if he doesn’t make the final roster.’
Bills Today | Why Leslie Frazier is ranked as the No. 1 defensive play caller by Pro Football Focus
‘I tweeted about the advantages the Buffalo Bills’ defense has over some other units— namely their schedule last year and the fact that their games are played with the highest wind speeds in football. That said, they allowed an average of 4.6 yards per play, and did so for a large part of the season without their best cornerback or without a highly paid player along their front four. At some point, Frazier is going to get another look as a head coach.’
Coach, dad, husband, brother. How Bills’ Sean McDermott tries to find work-life balance
‘“After a few days this week, we’re going to unplug a little bit to get away, speaking of balance, and enjoy a little bit of what life has to offer,” McDermott said Tuesday before practice. “I think that perspective is good. And then we fire back up at the end of July, and we get this thing cranked up all the way here.”’
Bills Mailbag: Should Devin Singletary be getting more love from the fan base?
‘He has not been a terrible player. I’m not sure I’ve “trashed” him, but there have been times it’s been legitimate to ask for more out of him.’
Bills WR Stefon Diggs pays it forward, hosts D.C. Youth Football Camp
‘“In my younger years, I was really just trying to see myself in the league and make sure I got some longevity in it,” Diggs said. “I was going to make sure I did it at the right time.”’
Bills’ DaQuan Jones says run-stopping comes down to mind over matter
‘ “I feel like it’s all mental,” Jones said. “You get that mindset of knowing what you have to do. Stopping the run is all mental. All the physicality and stuff like that – you can try to be the most physical person in the room and try to go out there and bang, bang, bang. But if you don’t know what’s coming and how to stop it, it’s not going to matter. I think really having the mindset of stopping the run and knowing what’s coming and how to do your job, you do that you’ll be all right.”’
