‘“It’s been fun, just talking to Josh, getting the ball from Josh and everything like that,” McKenzie said. “We’re communicating like him and Beas were communicating. … It’s just the communication of it all. It’s certain words and certain signals that he gave Beas. I mean I watched. But now I’m in it, I got to do those. Some tweaks here and there, maybe we can come up with our own some day. But being behind Beas, he taught me a lot.”‘

Bills’ McKenzie is working to take advantage of more playing time this season.
‘McKenzie knows what has been said, but he never lets it get in the way, “I just never stop going, I look at the noise, but I don’t listen to it, so I just keep going to go about my day, whether it’s on the field or off the field, I do what I do and I may let some people know along the way and if they don’t believe me, oh well.”‘
Ed Oliver Sees Similarities Between Von Miller And Jerry Hughes
‘”They’ve actually kind of similar in a way of just like how they carry themselves or how they, like approached the game and stuff like this,” Oliver said. “So, it’s kind of similar to having an older vet. I kind of see like now you get to talk about guys in the thirties and been in the game for ten plus years…Jerry wasn’t in a league for no other reason than why Von was in the league and has just taken care of the body. Making plays and stuff like that. You only stay around because of how you treat your body and how you attack the day and the work day and stuff like that.”‘
Bills Today | Are the Bills set up for long-term success?
‘From the day Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane arrived, they have made consistently smart team building moves. I worked with Sean for over a decade, and he’s in the top 5 head coaches in the league, if not higher. Their personnel decisions and execution have been excellent to the point that I think they have the best team they’ve had with this regime. They’ve also excelled in hiring. When you get a new coach, teams can be really good for 3-4 years until they start losing some of their coaches. They may not do quite as well when they don’t have the same caliber assistant coaches. Yet, Sean has done a great job of keeping a strong staff together, which will help them sustain success.’
