‘”Naturally, by role, I’m not calling plays, but it’s a great opportunity to take a step back, be in another system, learn and grow. From that standpoint, man, it checked every box that I was looking for.”’

Bills Mailbag: Could A.J. Epenesa’s roster spot be in jeopardy?
‘As for Epenesa, there is no reason for the Bills to move on at this point. Coach Sean McDermott likes to rotate along the defensive line in an effort to keep everyone fresh. Trading Epenesa would be selling low, and releasing him before his third season would be cutting bait way too soon on a second-round draft pick. I’m not holding out a lot of hope Epenesa will ever become a Pro Bowler. He looked poised for a breakout second season after a dominant performance against Miami in Week 2 last year, but never really built on that. There is no doubt the Bills would like more out of him, especially given where he was drafted, but it’s too soon to say he can’t at least be a regular contributor.’

Buffalo Bills star Micah Hyde giving back at annual football camp
‘Campers got in free, but any money from parents or spectators for admission goes towards Hyde’s charity, the Imagine for Youth Foundation, which helps disadvantaged kids in academics and athletics. “Back when I was a senior in college [at the University of Iowa], it was a class project. From there, we started collecting sporting equipment to give to the kids in need. That was the foundation of it,” said Hyde.’
‘He’s gonna rise to the occasion’ | Bills players react to Ken Dorsey’s first months as offensive coordinator
‘”It just makes our life a lot easier,” wide receiver Gabriel Davis said about Dorsey’s promotion to OC. “We still have a similar offense, tweaking some things here and there, but it’s nothing too crazy of a change. But he played the quarterback position. He’s been back there. He’s been through the fire. He’s been on great teams and played with great people. He understands what people want and what us players want. And that’s a lot of fun to have a guy like that back there.”‘
