‘Allen has a knack for rising in the big moments. In the fourth quarter for the regular season, Allen was the No. 2 ranked quarterback in the NFL, behind only the Rams’ Matthew Stafford. Allen completed 71.1% of his passes in the fourth quarter with 10 touchdowns, no interceptions and a 117.7 passer rating. Stafford had 12 TDs, no INTs and a 126.4 rating. In 2020, Allen had the fourth-most passing yards in the fourth quarter and the seventh-best passer rating.’

Josh Allen was No. 1 in NFL in preventing pressures from becoming sacks
‘Who was worst at taking sacks in the face of pressure? Cleveland’s Baker Mayfield (29.1%), the Jets’ Zach Wilson (26.3%), Burrow (26.0%) and Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger (25.3%).’
Rod Watson: Buffalo ‘leaders’ succumb to Stockholm syndrome in Bills stadium talks
‘Of course, the fact that the Pegulas – who also own the Buffalo Sabres – have been major players in downtown’s redevelopment also could have something to do with the silence. If you’re a Buffalo Place board member who has or wants to have a business relationship with the sports magnates, you aren’t going to say anything to get on their bad side. Ditto for most politicians.’
Alan Pergament: Making sense of how Buffalo was No. 1 and out-rated Cincinnati for the Super Bowl
‘I can only speculate on why Buffalo had a higher rating than Cincinnati. One possibility: There could have been more Super Bowl parties in the Ohio city that reduced the number of people watching in their own homes.’
Bills GM open to big-time trades this offseason like Rams used to win to Super Bowl
‘“We don’t just try and do something that’s short-sighted that can hurt us down the road,” he said. “But yes, if there’s a right opportunity to add a good player and we can fit it in our cap and it makes sense, [we’d do it].”’
Bills named best fit for this soon-to-be free agent CB
‘ESPN Insider recently listed their top 50 free agent list and best team fits. Among the 50 players, only one player –cornerback Rasul Douglas– had Buffalo as the ideal landing spot.’
Opinion: Capaccio: 2022 State of the Bills – Quarterback
‘There are several free agent quarterbacks this offseason who have plenty of starting experience. If Beane can’t retain Trubisky, one of those should be the preferred option over an inexperienced, younger player. But the Bills have only so much money they can spend and may have to go that route, regardless. Whether they sign a veteran or not, I wouldn’t rule out the organization drafting a quarterback this year, either. Having a young signal-caller on a rookie contract who can develop behind Allen is never a bad idea.’
