‘He added, “At the end of the day, we didn’t get it done. There’s nothing I can say that’s going to fix it. I wish I could, I’ve thought about it a million times. I can promise you that we’re going to learn about it as an organization.”‘

On the move: Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll named New York Giants’ new head coach
‘It’ll be on Daboll to straighten Jones out. Undoubtedly, the job Daboll did with Allen led him to this moment. Under Daboll, the Bills finished 30th in both total yards (298.6) and points (16.8) during Allen’s rookie season, but showed some improvement the following season – jumping to 24th in yards (330.2) and 23rd in points (19.6) – before exploding the past two seasons. The Bills ranked second in both yards (396.4) and points (31.3) in 2020 and backed that up by finishing fifth in yards (381.9) and third in points (28.4) this past regular season.’
Chiefs fans donate $411K to Oishei Children’s Hospital, approach largest Bills Mafia campaigns
‘Most of the donations are for $13 to commemorate the comeback, $17 for Allen’s jersey number and $32 for Allen’s and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ numbers combined. Oishei has also received donations in $117 and $1,017 increments. The total surpassed $400,000 Thursday.’
The Editorial Board: Deciding playoff games with a coin toss shows league needs overtime rules reset
‘During that offseason, Kansas City proposed to change the overtime rules to allow both teams the opportunity to have the ball at least once, even if the first try ends in a touchdown. Their plan also included the elimination of the overtime coin toss, awarding possession choice to the team that won the toss to start the game. That, and other proposals in recent years, went nowhere.’
My View: Bills foiled again, but fans hang tough
‘The Bills were 13 seconds away from the AFC Championship Game. The score was 36-33, the Bills leading. I sat there and told my wife, “the game isn’t over.” She mocked me with “oh, ye of little faith.” I told her I have been a Bills fans since I was 13 years old, I’m now 70. Thirteen years old and 13 seconds on the clock. Something was telling me don’t get the parade route ready.’
Maiorana: Here’s my idea to fix the NFL’s inequitable overtime rules
‘Get rid of the coin toss and the kickoff. The home team automatically gets the choice of whether to take the ball first starting at its own 25 (same as if there was a touchback), or start on defense. This decision would add even more importance and incentive to winning as many regular season games as you can to get homefield advantage in the playoffs.’
Giants hire former Bills OC Brian Daboll as next head coach
‘This is the third time the duo have worked together in the league. They were both in the Miami Dolphins organization in 2011 and they reunited in Buffalo when Daboll became the team’s offensive coordinator in 2018.’
Five takes: Bills preparing for critical offseason with one goal in mind — beat the Chiefs
‘At running back, Devin Singletary put forth the best season of his career while helping the Bills running game transform itself into one of the most productive in the league by the time Buffalo’s season reached its conclusion. Beyond Singletary, it would behoove Buffalo to add a complementary talent that can provide the Bills with another skill set at the position. Specifically, that skillset must include elite speed, of which the Buffalo offense has been lacking an adequate amount over the past number of seasons.’
