‘“He’s kind of given us the keys as captains to kind of be like, ‘This is your team. I’m here for guidance, but I’m not going to push anybody in one certain direction or not,’ ” Allen said. “So, I think just the maturation and growth of him as a coach, too, the last couple of years, has been awesome to see.”’

Mark Gaughan: Bills have warts, but the AFC is as wide open as ever
‘Tennessee is going to lock up the No. 1 seed with a win over Houston on Sunday. The Titans are very good. But they have the fourth best quarterback in the AFC in Ryan Tannehill (behind Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Joe Burrow). My sense is most Bills fans fear Kansas City more than Tennessee.’
Alan Pergament: Bills-Falcons game highest-rated locally in 22 years; WGRZ-TV off Fios as Super Bowl nears
‘The game averaged a 53.3 rating and 67 share from 1 to 4:15 p.m. on Fox affiliate WUTV but the rating rises to a 54.5 rating and 81 share if you toss out the 4 to 4:15 p.m. period after the game ended right around 4 p.m.’
Bills stadium deal approaching, despite no mention in Hochul address
‘“All parties continue to work together in a warm and constructive manner to get an agreement in place as soon as possible,” Jim Wilkinson, a spokesperson for the Bills’ parent company, Pegula Sports and Entertainment, told The Buffalo News.’
The rookie wall is real, and Bills’ first-round pick Greg Rousseau may have scaled it
‘“I think there is a rookie wall for most rookies, especially ones that play right from the start, like Greg has,” McDermott said. “I don’t think many of them believe that – ‘Hey, it won’t affect me early in the year.’ But eventually they go through it and sometimes then you can work yourself through that wall and get back out on the other end while still in the same season. So I think he’s experiencing some of that now and you saw some of that in (Sunday’s) game.”’
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets: Here’s what McDermott, players are saying
‘Wilson threw 11 picks in his first eight games, but has none in the last four. For the season he’s completing only 56.7% of his passes for an average of 187.3 yards per game with eight TDs, 11 interceptions, but it’s clear that he’s starting to show signs of why the Jets believe he’s their future franchise QB.’
Door open for Buffalo Bills to climb to AFC’s No. 2 or 3 seed
‘On Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs will head to Denver to take on the Broncos. Buffalo would need Kansas City to lose to have any chance for the two seed. The Chiefs won their first matchup against Denver 22-9 and are 10 point road favorites in the rematch, but a Chiefs loss to the Broncos would give the Cincinnati Bengals and Bills a chance to leapfrog them. Patrick Mahomes has never lost to Denver in his career (8-0), but four of his wins have come in one-score games.’
Derrick Henry set to return to Titans for playoffs; Bad news for Bills?
‘Henry has missed the last nine weeks after suffering a fractured foot on Halloween in a game against the Indianapolis Colts. Titans coach Mike Vrabel said today that Henry will be ramped back up just like any other player returning from IR. Vrabel wants to see how the foot responds as Henry tries to simulate things he’d have to so in a game.’

Bills shift from “playoff caliber” to “championship caliber” at team facility
‘Sure, there is still some celebrating but now it’s not a surprise or rare occurrence when this team makes the postseason, rather it’s expected. In fact it’s crazy to think that scene in Miami really was only four years ago yet there are now players on this team that don’t know what it’s like not to make the playoffs.’
Bills eager for opportunity to win AFC East in front of home crowd
‘Allen said: “We know they will be pumped up and ready to play, and try to take the division away from us. If I was in that position, I would feel the same way.”‘
Bills head to playoffs for third straight year: ‘Winning is not easy in this league’
‘“You try and tell them and I think they shake their head yes I got you,” McDermott said. “But they’re really inside saying ‘ehh I’ll be different’ and to be honest I was different when I heard that years ago too.”’
Despite torn ACL, Tre’Davious White still doing all he can to help the Bills
‘“I think that just shows the camaraderie and how tight we are in the secondary,” Jordan Poyer said. “For a guy like Tre’Davious to go down and have a second year player come in, it’s almost like we haven’t missed a beat.”’
How the Bills continue to stay humble and hungry amid this run of sustained success
‘”There’s a lot of hard work that’s gone into that, not just this season, but over the course of the four or five years that we’ve been here,” McDermott shared. “It’s been a real team effort. I just think that we have an opportunity this weekend against a good football team in the Jets, that are playing really well, to take another step as an organization. And that’s where our focus needs to be this week.”‘
