Erik Brady: Bills’ ‘Mr. Touchdown’ Butch Rolle now helps students catch a break in paying for college
‘Now Rolle’s foundation is awarding grants to students in Western New York. Sunday, he will be at the Big Tree Inn, the Bills bar by Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. There the foundation will award grants of $500 each to two students from Sweet Home High School, as the Bills play Reich’s Indianapolis Colts. At Mooney’s, his foundation gave 10 hours of tutoring and a Samsung tablet to a student from South Park High School.’
Containing Jonathan Taylor will be huge task as Bills face NFL’s leading rusher again
‘Henry may still be the best back in the league, but Taylor is in the early stages of building his resume to be included in the conversation for that title along with Henry, Nick Chubb, Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook.’
Buffalo Bills vs Indianapolis Colts: What coaches, players are saying
‘Indianapolis is two overtime losses away from being on a seven-game winning streak, and those losses came to first-place teams, Baltimore and Tennessee, so there’s no doubt this is a good team coming to town to challenge the AFC East-leading Bills.’
Bill Simmons says Patriots are better than Bills; he’d take Kendrick Bourne over Beasley or Sanders
‘“The Patriots to me seem like a more balanced team,” Simmons said. “I think they have a better coach. I think they have more ways they can win game to game. Their arrow’s pointing up. They can run and pass. And really the only thing you would say, in my opinion if you’re making the Buffalo case, is in one game I’d trust Josh Allen over a rookie QB (Mac Jones) is the default. What else am I missing? Because I’ve watched 10 weeks of the season and I think the Patriots are better than Buffalo right now.”’

Frank-ly speaking: Allen has the ‘Reich’ stuff
‘”Certainly we know that he can put the ball on the field anywhere that he wants. His toughness mentally and physically,” Reich said. “Watching from afar you can tell the kind of leader he is. It just jumps off the tape. This guy’s not just a great player, you can feel his leadership. You can feel the team’s belief in him.”‘

Could there be a record subsidy for Bills stadium?
‘There has never been a stadium built for a National Football League team that cost taxpayers the $1 billion being bandied about for a new home for the Buffalo Bills. Only one stadium, built to lure the Raiders from Oakland to Las Vegas, even comes close, at $750 million. Three other stadiums built over the past decade involved taxpayer subsidies between $114 million and $498 million.’
The Bills are complimentary of Jonathan Taylor ahead of Sunday’s matchup: “The hardest runner we’ve seen all season”
‘“If you could build a back that way, he’s got size, power, vision, balance, homerun speed,” Sean McDermott said. “It’s hard to find all those traits in one back. He’s got them all.”’
Josh Allen’s and Stefon Diggs’ relationship goes beyond the football field
‘“As a receiver, you don’t benefit at all from having your quarterback rattled or being in a bad head space,” Diggs said. “I just try to do my part keeping him even keel, keeping him in a good space.”’
