‘The NFL announced that the Bills will host the Carolina Panthers at 1 pm ET on Sunday, December 19.’

Pollock: It’s time for Buffalo fans to be worried
‘Tennessee, New England and Kansas City (both 7-4) and Baltimore (7-3) would claim the four division titles with the three 6-4 teams — Chargers, Bengals and Bills — as wild cards. But that could change before midnight Thursday.’
Upon Further Review: Bills hang onto quick turnaround for Thanksgiving game being a good thing
‘“You’ve got to be realistic. The best thing, the most important thing we can do is get them rested,” McDermott said when asked if there was enough time to fix the fundamental flaws the Bills displayed against the Colts. “Normally, I would say we’re a pretty sound, fundamental team. We stress it a lot … but we didn’t have it today, so we’ve got to go back and figure out why and get it back as soon as we can.”’
What we learned from Bills’ snap counts in Week 11 loss, game ball and more
‘Matt Breida outsnapped Zack Moss. Breida, who led the Bills with five carries for 51 yards, played 18 offensive snaps (32%), which was two more than the 16 played by Zack Moss (29%), who finished with three carries for just 5 yards.’
Analysis: With Bills reeling, time for Josh Allen to make some more boring throws
‘Allen’s second interception also was a forced throw in a risky, third-and-8 situation. It was a seven-man pass protection with only three men in the pattern. Nobody was open vs. a two-deep zone, and Allen didn’t get the protection he needed. But he put the ball in harm’s way.’
Observations: Tremaine Edmunds nearing a return for Bills
‘“We’ll see as far as this week goes, but good to have him back on the field,” coach Sean McDermott said. “Obviously just a walk-through, so we’ll just see where it goes here.”’
Position grades: Long day for Vernon Butler and rest of the Bills’ defense
Defensive line (0.5): The roughest day for the Bills was turned in by Vernon Butler, who got the second-most snaps at defensive tackle (45). He did not hold up to the Colts’ double-team blocks. He was pushed by Mark Glowinski on an early 10-yard run and by Ryan Kelly on another 10-yarder early. So it went. He was blown back by a double team on a late 19-yard gain. Long day for him. Harrison Phillips held the point of attack better than Butler in his 54 snaps, although it was a long day for Phillips, as well. It would have been better if Star Lotulelei had been available for 50 snaps and Phillips played 30.’
Bills guard Jon Feliciano gives back for Thanksgiving while still on injured reserve
‘“I think we’ve been getting better. I think since the Jacksonville game, we kind of hashed some things out,” he said. “I think we’re getting to runs that we’re going to be good at. I don’t like last week (against the Colts) was indicative of who we are as a team or a unit, and we just have to keep going and prove the rest of the season who we are.”’
Alan Pergament: CBS’ Harlan was only reason to delay looking for ‘escape hatch’ in Bills debacle
‘Even Buffalo fans grudgingly must admit it is easy to love Harlan’s enthusiasm even if it hurts when it is at the expense of the Bills.’
It may sound crazy, but it’s reality: Bills have a tough road just to make the playoffs
‘That said, this 2021 season is on the fast track to becoming one of the most disappointing in Bills history because at this point, the one-time national media darlings are a shell of the team most of us thought they would be.’
Jim Irsay signed $100 bills and gave them to Bills fans sitting in front of his suite
‘The Indianapolis Colts owner was in a generous mood, seeing as his team trounced the team that had knocked the Colts out of the playoffs in January. He signed $100 bills and gave them to the fans.’
Bills Face Difficult Three-Game Stretch In Midst Of Slump
‘“I believe we’re a physical football team,” McDermott said. “When I mention the point of attack, and in particular on the defensive side, I felt like it could have been better. We’ve been better.”’
First injury reports for Bills, Saints
‘It was good news for the Bills, as it appears starting middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is trending in the right direction. He was listed as a full participant at the team’s walk-thru.’
McDermott: “It was pretty somber” after 41-15 loss to Colts
‘”I can tell you from the mood in the building today, it was pretty somber. We have to turn the page here to get going on the Saints,” McDermott said. “It’s a short week. So [players are] getting themselves rested so they’re ready to go for Thursday night against a good football team.”‘
Turnovers crush Bills offense, lead to 21 points for Colts
‘“We are a really good football team when we don’t bite ourselves in the butt,” Allen said. “What we put on that field today is not who we are. I’ve got a lot of trust in a lot of faith in our team and there is no secret that we need to do a better job on all fronts.”’
