Bills CB Tre’Davious White leaves with knee injury, out for remainder of game

‘Cornerback Tre’Davious White was defending a catch in the 2nd quarter and injured his knee during the play. He was attended to by trainers on the field, walked off, went to the medical tent, before heading to the locker room. The team initially said he was doubtful to return but before the 2nd half began, was downgraded to “out”.’

‘Addison came up big once again to start the second quarter. The Bills stop the Saints on 4th and 2 as Addison comes up with a five-yard tackle for loss on Tony Jones. New Orleans was without its top two running backs in this game as Alvin Kamara missed his third game in a row with a knee injury. Mark Ingram was ruled out for this game with a knee injury as well. So the Bills certainly caught a break not having to face the explosive running game we’re used to seeing from the Saints.’

4 Observations: Bills cruise past Saints 31-6

‘Breida’s growing role. The Bills running game was much more effective against the Saints and Matt Breida played a big part. The veteran was active for the 3rd straight game and he touched the ball a season-high 11 times. Breida had 9 carries for 26 yards and 2 catches for 29 yards and a touchdown. The numbers aren’t exactly eye-popping but he gives the Bills offense a running back who can get to the edge and make a play. The Bills went with Breida and Devin Singletary at running back and made Zack Moss inactive.’

‘Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll got the running backs involved a little more, which was encouraging. On the Bills’ first possession, they ran for 35 yards on a 10-play, 65-yard touchdown drive. Matt Breida, who replaced inactive Zack Moss, provided a spark for the offense, showing good speed and elusiveness on the way to a 23-yard touchdown reception.’
