‘It says a lot about our guys’, Bills defense bounces back in win over Saints
‘”Coming off a tough loss like that last week, it says a lot about our guys,” safety Micah Hyde said. “But we have to be consistent and look forward to the next matchup here.”‘
Bills CB Tre’Davious White leaves with knee injury, out for remainder of game
‘Cornerback Tre’Davious White was defending a catch in the 2nd quarter and injured his knee during the play. He was attended to by trainers on the field, walked off, went to the medical tent, before heading to the locker room. The team initially said he was doubtful to return but before the 2nd half began, was downgraded to “out”.’
Bills TE Dawson Knox breaks franchise record in game vs. Saints
‘Knox caught his 7th touchdown of the season in the 3rd quarter of the team’s game against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. That touchdown gave him the franchise record for touchdown catches by a tight end in a single season.’
Bills gobble up a 31-6 win over the Saints on Thanksgiving night
‘Addison came up big once again to start the second quarter. The Bills stop the Saints on 4th and 2 as Addison comes up with a five-yard tackle for loss on Tony Jones. New Orleans was without its top two running backs in this game as Alvin Kamara missed his third game in a row with a knee injury. Mark Ingram was ruled out for this game with a knee injury as well. So the Bills certainly caught a break not having to face the explosive running game we’re used to seeing from the Saints.’
Stefon Diggs does Stefon Diggs things once again in blowout win over Saints
‘Once again Diggs showed why he’s not only the Bills’ top wide receiver but one of the best play makers in the league with that beautiful route on the touchdown. I mean this is just stupid good…’.
Sean McDermott explains the secret behind TE Dawson Knox’s success in 2021
‘“Just doing whatever you’re asked to do every week whether it’s one catch or ten, whether it’s zero targets or ten. With the quarterback that we have, the players that we have like there’s gonna be opportunities every single weekend and you just gotta be ready when it comes your way,” Knox said after the game.’
4 Observations: Bills cruise past Saints 31-6
‘Breida’s growing role. The Bills running game was much more effective against the Saints and Matt Breida played a big part. The veteran was active for the 3rd straight game and he touched the ball a season-high 11 times. Breida had 9 carries for 26 yards and 2 catches for 29 yards and a touchdown. The numbers aren’t exactly eye-popping but he gives the Bills offense a running back who can get to the edge and make a play. The Bills went with Breida and Devin Singletary at running back and made Zack Moss inactive.’
Fans give thanks for the Bills during Thanksgiving game: ‘The Bills are like family’
‘“I think whether you watch with your family, friends, out, inside, I think it’s better to have a bunch of people who have the same love for football and the Bills as you to make the environment fun and positive,” Jill Pepke said.’
Carucci Take2: Bills deserve credit for big rebound, beat-up Saints or not
‘Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll got the running backs involved a little more, which was encouraging. On the Bills’ first possession, they ran for 35 yards on a 10-play, 65-yard touchdown drive. Matt Breida, who replaced inactive Zack Moss, provided a spark for the offense, showing good speed and elusiveness on the way to a 23-yard touchdown reception.’
Bills rout Saints on Thanksgiving, Allen throws 4 TDs in 31-6 win
‘It was another fantastic drive from the Bills to start a half. Allen and company marched 75 yards on 11 plays for a touchdown, with Diggs running a beautiful route to get open from the five-yard line. Buffalo took a 17-0 lead.’
‘We’ll take it one day at a time:’ Buffalo Bills on Tre White’s knee injury
‘“All the guys in the locker room are praying for him and hurting with him,” said quarterback Josh Allen. “Again, you can’t say a single bad thing about that man. He comes in, he busts his a** every day, he’s such a great teammate, he talks to everybody the right way and he does the little things that not many people see, but that’s why he is so good.”‘
There are positives from Bills’ win in NOLA, but big problems are still to be solved
‘Josh Allen has not played at a level this year that makes it appear like he could overcome a defense that allows 30 points to the teams Buffalo will see in January and February. Allen spent the last few weeks talking about how you must protect the ball. Yet, he had two more turnovers against the Saints. That’s now eight in the last four games. You can count on Bill Belichick’s crew to be much more punishing if Allen turns it over two more times on Monday night.’
Bills wake up and roll Saints, but Tre White injured
‘With the Bills holding a 10-0 lead, star corner Tre White went down with an injury. The replay showed that it appeared to be his knee.’
Bills rebound against Saints, Allen nearly perfect
‘Josh Allen was nearly perfect, completing 23-of-28 passes for a modest 260 yards. He racked up four touchdowns through the air but did have two interceptions.’
