‘Buffalo’s pass rush was supposed to get home against a Titans offensive line that allowed more sacks through five weeks than any other team in the league but the defense had no answers on Monday night. The team finished with no sacks and just two quarterback hits in the loss. That doesn’t cut it when you consider Taylor Lewan, one of the Titans’ best OL, left the game with an injury.’

Bills discuss decision to go for win on 4th down vs. Titans: ‘I’ll take Josh Allen 10 times out of 10′
‘“It just looked like there was some penetration there off our left side and they pinched down,” he said. “At the end of the day I trust them, and I’ll trust them again if we’re in that situation again. I’ll take Josh Allen 10 times out of 10.”’
Bills should look to address trenches following loss to Titans (Week 6 report card)
‘Buffalo’s defensive line was the worst unit of the night.’
Five takeaways: Bills come up short on critical fourth down play, fall to Titans
‘Missed opportunities and a lack of execution were a large part of the story for the Buffalo offense during Monday’s defeat. As they have all season, the Bills were inconsistent in the red zone against Tennessee and suffered far too many crucial penalties. Allen finished the game 35-of-47 passing for 353 yards and three touchdowns against one interception, but it wasn’t enough. The Bills QB was sacked three times in the loss, while the Buffalo running game came up small in one of the biggest games of the year, totaling 82 rushing yards on 23 carries.’
Buffalo Bills Week 6 Report Card: Bills lose to Titans 34-31
‘Defensive line: F. “Winning” on the edge means little unless you’re truly pressuring the quarterback or getting sacks. Enough of the moral victories. It’s time for the Bills to find a pass rush. The Bills’ rushers seem to find a way to get close, but not close enough. They need to start finishing the job and putting QBs on their backs.’

Titans Stop Allen On 4th Down, Hang On To Beat Bills 34-31
‘The AFC East-leading Bills drove to the Titans 3 on their final possession and could have sent the game to overtime with a field goal, but instead went for the win — and didn’t execute.’
Allen, Bills Come Up Short As Buffalo Coach Goes For Win
‘That set up fourth and very short. Allen lined up in the shotgun, then moved up under center for the snap. He took the ball, then his feet seemed to slip out from under him with a trio of Titans’ linemen filling the middle and pushing forward. Allen said he didn’t have great footing but was happy to have the ball in his hands.’
How the Buffalo Bills pulled off the greatest comeback in NFL history
‘”If we went down, we’d go down fighting,” former Bills coach Marv Levy said. “I just was immersed in the game itself. What should we do next? And the game isn’t over. [New York Yankees catcher] Yogi Berra once said, ‘It’s not over ’til it’s over.’ And so, we kept plugging away.”‘
Titans vs. Bills score: Tennessee stuffs Josh Allen’s fourth-down sneak in final seconds to pull off upset
‘Derrick Henry once again had himself a monster evening, rushing 20 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner late in the fourth quarter. The Titans were helped by several big plays, as well as several miscues by the Bills — with a holding penalty on a potential game-winning kick return taking a score off the board.’
Bills’ Sean McDermott doubles down on fourth-down decision in loss to Titans: ‘I owe it to my players’
‘”We’re this far from winning the game,” McDermott told media in his post-game press conference, per Pro Football Talk, while holding his fingers close together. “I owe it to my players. I believe in my players. I believe in my quarterback.”‘
Bills Gamble on Fourth Down, Titans Stand Tall in Wild ‘Monday Night Football’ Finish
‘Tennessee stuffed Allen’s sneak attempt to preserve a wild 34-31 win over the Bills in a game that saw seven lead changes, tying the all-time record for Monday Night Football. For a team that ranked 16th in the league in rushing yards allowed coming into the game, it saved its best performance when it needed it most.’
Bills vs. Titans final score, result: Derrick Henry, timely defense lead to Tennessee ‘Monday Night Football’ win
‘It seemed at first as if Bills quarterback Josh Allen would dice up the Titans’ secondary, especially after several Tennessee defensive backs went down during the game. But the home team held a bend-don’t-break mentality that resulted in three field-goal drives for the Bills, two of which ended in the red zone. The defense came up big in the fourth quarter, holding Buffalo scoreless and stuffing an Allen sneak attempt on fourth-and-inches from the Tennessee 3 — with the Bills trailing 34-31 and only 22 seconds remaining.’
Bills’ Sean McDermott explains decision on fourth-down attempt vs. Titans: ‘Felt like we could go and win’
‘Still, McDermott acknowledged he didn’t want to put the game, potentially, in the hands of his defense. The Titans scored on six of their final eight drives following a Ryan Tannehill interception in the first half. Those two drives that didn’t end in scores instead ended the half and the game.’
Bills come up just short in loss to Titans
‘After Buffalo’s next drive fizzled out with just 8:09 remaining in regulation, Tennessee made the most of their next drive and turned it into seven more points and another lead change. Tannehill and the Titans offense managed to get the football to the Buffalo 13-yard line before Henry powered his way into the end zone for his third touchdown of the night.’
