‘But Sunday, Allen came out firing and if not for a great play by Washington’s Antonio Gibson on his long catch and run touchdown, and then a miscue on special teams which set up another quick Football Team score, this one would have been a colossal blowout. As it was, it was your average run of the mill blowout.’

Maiorana: Bills deliver WFT beatdown with dynamic offense not interested in taking a knee
‘“When we got word that we were going to be aggressive there, I love those types of situations,” said Allen, who operated that 26-second drill the way the greats of the game, the Bradys and Rodgers and Mannings all have. “That type of trust that you have in your offense, we feel that when coach is allowing us to go out there and be us. It’s a good feeling.”’
Bills report card: Josh Allen dedicates 5 TD performance to coach after grandmother’s death
The game was pretty much in hand in the first half, but right after Washington’s breakthrough TD catch-and-run by Gibson, the Bills kickoff team allowed a short kick by Washington’s Dustin Hopkins to hit the ground, and a crazy hop wound up right in Hopkins’ hands for a recovery at the Buffalo 24, and that set up Washington’s second TD. Isaiah McKenzie later had a 33-yard punt return called back on a holding penalty against Tyler Matakevich which cost the Bills 28 yards in field position. And then Tyler Bass, who made a 48-yard field goal to end the first half, kicked the ball out of bounds to start the third quarter, giving the Football Team a drive start at the 40, though they went nowhere. Bass, who also made field goals of 29 and 21 yards, managed five touchbacks on eight kickoffs.
Allen finds his 2020 self as the Bills roll
‘And, suddenly, some of the concerns that began with the season-opening 23-16 home loss to Pittsburgh and the non-fatal mistakes versus the Dolphins have dissipated.’
Allen turns Daboll’s loss into a win
‘Allen was 32-of-43 passing for 358 yards with four touchdown passes, no interceptions or sacks and a 129.8 passer rating. He connected twice for scores with wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, the free agent acquisition, hitting him for 28 and five yards. In addition, he connected with tight end Dawson Knox and running back Zack Moss for TDs of 14 and seven yards, respectively. Allen also muscled his 6-foot-5, 240-pound frame into the end zone on a 2-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter to give the Bills their largest advantage at 43-14.’
Three takeaways key Bills over WFT
‘The Gibson touchdown was the longest reception against the Bills since a 77-yard TD by the Bengals’ A.J. Green from Andy Dalton in a 2017 defeat.’

Josh Allen, Bills offense dedicate win to OC: ‘This one was for Brian Daboll’
‘“Daboll lost his grandma this last week,” Allen revealed after the game. “She was the woman that raised him. So he had a pretty tough week. … It’s just crazy how the roles are reversed. Last year I got to come into the locker room and I had a heartfelt hug with him. And this year, he falls in my arms.”’
Josh Allen-Emmanuel Sanders chemistry apparent in Bills’ big win over Washington (10 reasons to be encouraged, 1 reason to worry)

‘Allen completed 32-of-43 passes (74.4%) for 358 yards and four touchdowns through the air. A fifth touchdown was added on the ground. After such an impressive outing against Washington, it’s hard to envision anyone else winning AFC Offensive Player of the Week.’
Buffalo Bills open as monster favorite over Texans after 2nd blowout win (Odds)
‘According to Betonline.ag, the Bills open as a -17 favorite over the Houston Texans in their Week 4 game set for 1 p.m. next Sunday at Highmark Stadium. The last time the Bills were this large a favorite was in 2019 when they were -17 favorites against the Dolphins at home. Buffalo won that game, 31-21. They beat Miami, 37-20, on the road less than a month later to sweep the season series.’
Five takeaways: Bills roll WFT behind massive day from Allen, Sanders, Buffalo passing game
‘The Bills’ defense was strong again this week, and if it weren’t for one big play from Washington (1-2) running back Antonio Gibson and a Buffalo special teams blunder, the score would have finished even more lopsided. The Bills limited WFT quarterback Taylor Heinicke, who had generated some hype entering the game due to his early-season performance, to 14-of-24 passing for 212 yards and two touchdowns while forcing him into two interceptions. The Buffalo defense forced a total of three turnovers, including a fumble, to help its cause.’
Sullivan: After two quiet weeks, Allen comes up with best game yet
‘He looked like the 2020 Josh, the one who was second in the MVP voting and had many experts picking him to win it this year. Allen was calm and mercilessly efficient, completing 32 of 43 passes for 358 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.’
