‘Officials in Albany call this a non-starter. But, The Buffalo News is also reporting that while the Bills have not made open threats to leave Buffalo if the full funding request is denied — the team told negotiators that there are other cities that would want an NFL franchise and be willing to pay for it.’

What we learned from Week 1 of 2021 Bills training camp
‘”Man, it feels real good — just guys out there playing with confidence, I think that’s the number one thing,” said Edmunds in reference to the up tempo nature of the practice sessions. “We’ve got a lot of guys that came back so a lot of guys are familiar with the defense, offense, special teams – everything. So you just see a lot of guys out there playing free, playing fast and playing free and just having fun with it.”‘
‘You feel the energy’: Thousands of Buffalo Bills fans on hand for training camp
‘“I couldn’t even find a suite to get for this year for myself,” Allen quipped Wednesday. “That tells you how much this community cares about Buffalo Bills football, and we’re excited to have them back in the building.”’
Josh Allen thrills crowd, Stefon Diggs sits out first open training camp practice
‘Allen unofficially completed 15 of 20 pass attempts during 11-on-11 drills, none more impressive than a 10-yard touchdown to tight end Dawson Knox, who made a jumping grab in between three players in the back of the end zone during a red zone drill against reserves.’
Buffalo Bills want a new stadium – and for taxpayers to foot the bill
‘In fact, it’s one of the largest asks for public money in pro sports stadium negotiations: Pegula Sports and Entertainment, the team’s owners, have pitched a $1.5 billion proposal for a new stadium in Orchard Park and to help cover some renovation costs to the Pegulas’ NHL Sabres arena in downtown Buffalo.’
Same old story for Bills’ CB Levi Wallace: He has to fight to keep his starting job
‘“I feel like (it’s) the same question every year; we’re competing,” Wallace said. “I’m in the most competitive job in America. If you’re not out here competing, if you’re not out here having fun, what are you out here for? Dane’s a great corner, so is Cam Lewis, so is Nick (McCloud), so is OG (Olaijah Griffin). There’s so many guys that they brought in, there’s so many talented guys, you’re out here for one reason and one reason alone, to compete.”’
Maiorana: Bills’ roster is mostly set, but great depth competitions are taking place
‘“No, I never have,” running back Zack Moss said when asked if he’d ever practiced in front of a crowd that size. “I mean it was cool, it was great having all the fans back in the stadium because, obviously, last year every game with no fans, up until the playoffs. So just having all the fans back in there and just hearing the roar, everyone being in there and seeing things getting back to normal a little bit, that kind of helps a lot. I’ve never practiced in front of 20,000 fans but I kind of just treated it as a game situation, trying to block it out and just focus on my job.”’
Zack Moss featured on Day 4 of Bills training camp; Who else took 1st team reps?
‘Moss looked fantastic considering this is just his fourth practice of action after spending all offseason rehabbing the ankle injury that ended his rookie year. One play in particular was one of the best of the day. Moss took a handoff from Allen and followed a lead block from Jon Feliciano to what probably ends up in a touchdown or close to it in a real game. Moss was noticeably explosive with the ball in his hands even though he said today that it’s about working his way back to a place where his ankle can take the weekly pounding the game puts on it.’
A few quick observations from Bills open practice
‘Josh Allen didn’t have his best day but made some impressive throws despite his top target, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, missing practice due to what the team termed a rest day.’
Former Seminole, UCF star and Buffalo Bills WR Gabriel Davis signs contract with Nike
‘“I just go out there and play ball to the best of my ability and I feel like everything else will come my way … whatever I want, whatever I need, so I try not to think about anything else but football and then I know everything else will fall into place,” Davis said. “A big endorsement like Nike is always good when you can sign with a company like that.”’
NFL insider notes: Here’s why Buffalo might be Super Bowl bound and more from Bills training camp
‘We are months away from knowing about the “better” part of the above equation – given that the Bills came a few plays away from a Super Bowl appearance a year ago – but one need only spend a few hours watching the overhauled Bills defensive front operate in practice for the “bigger and badder” part to become readily apparent. This group now includes returning defensive tackle Star Lotulelei (311-ish pounds), back after electing to opt out of 2020 due to COVID-19, and top picks Greg Rousseau (6-foot-6 with long levers) and Boogie Basham (uber-athletic at 6-foot-3) are already menacing in the early days of camp, portending big things for a unit that lacking pocket-moving might in some critical junctures a year ago.’
