‘It’s been a point being made since Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham were drafted to go along with free agent signee Efe Obada: the defensive line group is deep and there aren’t enough spots for the amount of talent the Bills have. Who will be the odd men out? How will that be determined? Could there even be a trade made and one of these players fetches a draft pick in return, instead of releasing him outright? There’s no more time left to just talk about it after Saturday’s game. This is the last chance for players to show the coaching staff they’re worthy of being kept. But there are some really tough choices coming here.’

‘This discussion could take a little time at One Bills Drive. Although the Isaiah McKenzie injury could mean there is no discussion and Marquez Stevenson makes the roster, it looks like the top-six receivers are set with Jake Kumerow having a strong enough preseason to have earned a place. The question would have been whether or not to go with seven wide receivers. But McKenzie being hurt, Stevenson might have clinched a spot with how he has looked as a receiver and returner. This is one of the two positions where the Bills might go a little longer because of the talent on-hand.’
