‘“In here, we’re all on the same page. We’ve had a lot of great discussion and we have a healthy locker room of guys that can be mature and have … you know, whether which side of the fence you’re on. … We don’t know what the thresholds will be, but it won’t be a distraction. We’re excited about the season, and whatever it is, we’ll deal with it at that time.”’

Brian Daboll: Despite all the 2020 success, Bills offense still a work in progress
‘“What we’re concerned with is the things that we do to install, the things that we ask the players to do, are we doing that the proper way?” he said Tuesday during a Zoom call with reporters. “And are we going out there and executing the proper way? Whether it’s the run game or whether it’s third and long or red zone, you can look at rankings and all these stats and things like that, but ultimately it comes down to putting the players in the best position we can with a good plan and then them going out there and executing it.”’
5 observations at Bills OTAs practice (Week 3): Jon Feliciano, A.J. Epenesa fight gets competitive juices flowing
‘“This hasn’t been my first scuffle during practice. Everyone knows around there, we’re just trying to work,” Feliciano explained on the show. “There’s no animosity between me and A.J. That crap’s done as soon as we walked off the field. Iron sharpens iron, and I’m trying to get him better.”’
Opining on Buffalo Bills training camp, Aaron Rodgers, Coach K and Blue Jays
‘Brandon’s efforts to regionalize the franchise here and in Canada played an important role in bringing about the financial stability that enabled the Bills to negotiate an iron-clad lease that ensured the team would remain in Western New York long after original owner Ralph Wilson’s death in 2014. The Fisher alum’s decision to go camping at his alma mater was an integral part of that plan. It wound up being a win-win for the Bills and the college.’
Bills depth chart 2021: Buffalo’s projected Week 1 starters heading into OTAs, training camp
‘The return of 2020 opt-out Star Lotulelei should work wonders for third-year pro Ed Oliver who had to take on nose tackle duties at times last season at well under 300 pounds. With Lotulelei and Vernon Butler, Buffalo has more beef on the interior, although the overall pass-rush ability of the defensive tackles — particularly outside of Oliver — is not a strength.’
Mitch Morse, Daryl Williams at Tuesday’s OTA session
‘Wide receivers Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders, and Isaiah McKenzie, defensive linemen Star Lotulelei, Jerry Hughes, Vernon Butler, and Mario Addison, safety Jaquan Johnson, running back Taiwan Jones, and offensive lineman Jordan Devey were all not seen and presumed absent.’
OC Brian Daboll: ‘Underdog mentality’ is the driver behind Allen success
‘”He’s not relying on what happened the year before or anything like that. That’s what I appreciate about him. He’s turned the page really quick.”‘
Bills OC Daboll says it’s time to ‘turn the page’ on 2020
‘”It’s a what have you done for me lately league,” smiled the Bills offensive coordinator. “You can’t get caught up in a season you wish you did better or a season you did well. None of that matters.”‘
Buffalo Bills’ QB Josh Allen’s next steps
‘”His follow-through, his base, his movement in the pocket – he does those things, I would say religiously, throughout the offseason,” Daboll said. “Each year, he’s, obviously, learned a little bit more about the system. He’s a grinder. He loves to practice, and he’s competitive in the meeting rooms, but he’s not relying on what happened a year before or anything like that. That’s what I appreciate about him, too. He’s turned the page really quick. You start over. You re-install things. You tweak things.”‘
Bills are preparing for the challenges of 2021 by doing this | OTAs Week 3
‘”The reality of it is, it’s not the same team,” Daboll stated. “Do we have certain players that are the same? Absolutely. Cole and Stef and Josh, Mitch and Feliciano. There’s a lot of the same guys, but there’s also 15 new people, so when you put everybody together in a room, you don’t know how everybody’s going to react when things aren’t great, you don’t have a great practice, you miss a pass. You have to build those relationships because at the end of the day, that’s the business we’re in, we’re in a relationship business, figuring out how guys work. Do they respond better to tougher criticism? Less? How they work together. You’ve got to gel as a team and this is the start of what we’re trying to do, just trying to gel as a group more than anything.”‘
Bills Today | Tyrel Dodson aims to make an impact off the field in Buffalo
‘”My main goal was wisdom and fun,” Dodson added. “I’m just trying to provide them different information that they can use. They’re all at a young age and I don’t expect them to make rational decisions at this point in their life. But this was something they can hang their hat on and something they can build their foundation around, and I think I did a good job with that.”‘
Titans’ acquisition of Julio Jones increased shootout potential for Week 6 game against Bills
‘Some Bills fans had expressed hope – especially after Stefon Diggs’ contract was restructured last week in a move to free up salary cap space – that their team would take a run at Jones. Such a move would have been tough to pull off even with the added cap space, however, given that Jones is due to make $15.3 million in base salary in 2021.’
Buffalo Bills to host training camp at Orchard Park headquarters for second straight summer
‘The Bills’ current contract with St. John Fisher College expires this year, so it remains to be seen where training camp will be held in coming seasons. Beane and head coach Sean McDermott have been consistent in their messaging about the value of the team going away for training camp. A permanent move home, a return to St. John Fisher or an entirely new location elsewhere are options being considered. Team owner Kim Pegula is expected to lead the team’s search for a new summer home.’
Buffalo Bills training camp won’t be held at St. John Fisher this summer
‘“Tough decision,” said Beane, who clarified that the decision was not based on vaccine thresholds within the team. “We sent a crew up there a few weeks back. They looked at everything based on what the protocols are today. We’ve been in constant contact with the league because we really wanted to make it work at St. John Fisher. I think you guys have heard Sean and myself, how much we think it’s a great setup for us.”‘
Bills’ Dawson Knox working with vision specialist, eyeing big leap in Year 3
‘While Knox was out in California he decided to cram more work into his schedule, linking up with Performance Vision Coach Ryan Harrison. He said working on his hands and his dependability as a pass catcher has been his number one focus this offseason.’
