Poloncarz: Vaccination required to attend Buffalo Bills, Sabres games

‘During Erie County’s weekly COVID-19 briefing, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz discussed a plan to allow full attendance at both Bills and Sabres games. Poloncarz says the county supports returning all fans to Highmark Stadium and the KeyBank Center this fall; however, under the county’s plan, all fans and staff would be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.’

Marv Levy named to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame Class of 2021

‘Levy coached the Montreal Alouettes from 1973-1977. He led the CFL team to three Grey Cup appearances in five years, winning two of them during the 1974 and 1977 seasons. In 1974, Levy served as both the general manager and head coach and was named the Coach of the Year after his first Grey Cup victory. He finished his time in Montreal with a 43-31-4 regular season record and a 7-3 record in the postseason.’

‘With starting defensive ends Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison over the age of 30, the Bills need to get younger on the edge. They took AJ Epenesa in Round 2 last year, but that’s not enough. The speedy pass-rusher Ojulari had 8.5 sacks and three forced fumbles last season. Cornerback and running back are other positions Buffalo could target.’

By the time McDermott’s fundamental defense experienced a so-so year in 2020, the offense was fully formed enough to pick up the slack. I like the value in the Bills re-signing Matt Milano and tackle Daryl Williams. I love the offensive core of players, the coaching staff and most of the defensive core. The Bills could still use help in the defensive front seven via the draft, but their floor should be as a double-digit-win team.’

‘Lines.com surveyed 1,683 sports fans on their game day drinking habits and 83 percent of the Bills fans surveyed admitted to binge drinking. The only fan bases who recorded a higher percentage than Bills fans were those who support the Atlanta Falcons (86%), Jacksonville Jaguars (86%) and Arizona Cardinals (85%).’
