TE Jacob Hollister excited to reunite with QB Josh Allen in Buffalo
‘“I think it will help us out a lot. Obviously that was close to five years ago but at the same time Josh is just a baller so I love playing with him and honestly that was a huge deciding factor for me coming here was getting to play with him again,” Hollister said on a zoom call with reporters on Monday.’
Hollister: Allen was a ‘huge deciding factor’ in coming to Buffalo
‘”He’s just that guy you want to be in the huddle with. He has a ton of confidence in his teammates, his coaches and everybody, so I think that’s the first thing I realized with Josh is ‘this is a really confident dude,’ and that gives the rest of the team confidence.”‘
Hollister says his relationship with Allen is a big reason he signed with Bills
‘”Josh is just a baller and I love playing with,” said the 27-year old. “Honestly it was a huge factor coming here and getting to play with him again.”‘

‘”Talking to my agent, it just seemed like the best situation when it came to the culture and really just the type of building that you want to be in,” Hollister said of his new team.’
Bills Today | Where will the Bills pick in each round of the 2021 NFL Draft?
‘Buffalo has seven picks–one in the first round, one in the second round, one in the third round, two in the fifth round, one in the sixth round and one in the seventh round.’
Rest of AFC East uses free agency to play catch-up with Bills
‘“Yeah, we knew, looking at the other three teams in the division, that they saved up a lot of cap space, and done a really nice job and there’s been some really good players that they’ve acquired,” Beane told reporters. “That’s where they are in their build, and where we are in retaining our own and probably (with) less cap dollars. But it’s going to be a very competitive division with those other three teams. We won it this year, but we know it’ll be even harder next year if we’re going to try and win it again.”’
Bills’ Emmanuel Sanders ‘criminally under appreciated’ and a ‘steal,’ says scouts
‘Sanders is expected to replace John Brown. Brown, Buffalo’s top receiver in 2019, missed games last season due to injuries and being on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. With no shortage of weapons at his disposal, Allen could eclipse the stats that saw him finish second in the league in MVP voting.’
Bills Today | Bleacher Report thinks this was the Bills smartest decision of the offseason
‘However, Buffalo’s decision to re-sign linebacker Matt Milano to a four-year, $41.5 million deal has been its wisest move. While the 26-year-old has never been a Pro Bowler, he’s one of the league’s better young coverage linebackers.’
Beane expects Bills’ pass rush to be better, but who might they be able to add?
‘The Bills’ pursuit of Watt could be an indication of their willingness to still address edge rusher in free agency. The team’s lone D-line pending free agent, Trent Murphy, is not expected to return. The Bills’ top pass-rusher, Jerry Hughes, needs a far better complement than A.J. Epenesa, a second-round pick last year, demonstrated he could provide through most of his rookie season.’

Bills Mailbag: Why the start of free agency has been a success, even without ‘blockbuster’ moves
‘Had the Bills signed Milano, Williams and Feliciano from other teams on the first day of free agency, they would have been looked at as one of the most active teams. The Bills’ stated goal this offseason was to keep as much of their team together as possible, and in that sense Beane has succeeded. It’s true that doing so lessened the Bills’ needs in free agency and, subsequently, the draft.’
5 thoughts and a grade on Buffalo Bills signing TE Jacob Hollister
‘Bringing in Hollister is sort of a vote of confidence for Knox. The money is certainly a major factor, sure. The Bills weren’t able to make a big swing at the position in free agency, but having Knox going into his third season always lessoned the need for a big-money addition. The Bills under Brian Daboll give their wide receivers most of the targets in the offense and that’s worked quite well as evidenced by the fact the team scored 501 points in 2020. Knox enters the season with expectations high, as Beane said this week. But there is confidence in the former third-round pick within the organization, and that includes Allen. Two tight end sets with Knox and Hollister as part of 12 personnel package could be deadly if Hollister is able to make an impact as a receiver.’

Harrison Phillips hosts Playmaker Pups event
‘“It’s been a crazy year for many reasons, and one of the biggest passions of mine is getting out here and serving the kids that I work with. To not be able to do that for a full year was hard, it kind of beats you down a little bit, so everyone’s fired up to get together today,” Bills defensive tackle Harrison Phillips said. “It’s almost been a year since I’ve gotten to be with these guys in person, and I’m so proud of the things they were able to accomplish this year in the classroom and some of the Playmaker challenges that we put out there for them to do.”‘
