Buffalo Bills ‘headed towards’ deal with free agent receiver Emmanuel Sanders (Reports)
‘Sanders turns 34 years old on Wednesday and will likely take the roster spot of veteran receiver John Brown, who the Bills released last week to create some cap space to re-sign linebacker Matt Milano, tackle Daryl Williams and guard Jon Feliciano.’
5 thoughts and a grade on Buffalo Bills signing Emmanuel Sanders
‘Sanders isn’t the kind of splash that Bills fans probably wanted but it’s a strategic signing that could prove to be important next season. The Bills offense soared, especially when Daboll was able to use 4 wide receiver sets. Age is a bit of a concern because of Sanders’ speed and the importance that plays in his ability to win. But he still was a big-time producer last season with the New Orleans Saints and should be able to pick up there in Buffalo.’
Bills add Emmanuel Sanders to dynamic offense: 4 things to know about WR
‘One familiar face that Sanders will see in the Bills locker room belongs to fellow wide receiver Cole Beasley. The two played together at SMU between the years 2008-2009.’

‘With Smith out of the picture, Buffalo will turn their attention to adding another tight end to the room opposite Dawson Knox.’
Bills’ Star Lotulelei returning for 2021 season (Report)
‘The return is big for a few reasons. First, Buffalo’s defensive line struggled without Lotulelei in the middle of their lineup. The 31-year-old defensive tackle was clearly missed as the team struggled to find a reliable 1-tech last season. The other reason Lotulelei’s return bodes well for the Bills is due to the fact that his retirement would have cost Buffalo an extra $4.7 million in 2021 salary cap according to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic.’
Rob Gronkowski reportedly considered Bills before re-signing with Buccaneers
‘ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported on Monday that the Bills are looking to add a tight end in free agency. The details of Buffalo’s offer have not been reported but $10 million (this year’s cap hit might come in at a lower number) for a player that will turn 32 in May might have been a bit too rich for Beane and the Bills.’
Bills Agree To Sign Ex-Dolphins Punter Haack To 3-Year Deal
‘Bojorquez’s asking price could prove too costly for a Bills team which began the week with little room left under the salary cap after re-signing three key pending free agents: linebacker Matt Milano and starting offensive linemen Jon Feliciano and Daryl Williams.’

2021 NFL free agency: Bills and veteran receiver Emmanuel Sanders agree to a one-year deal, per report
‘Last week, it was reported that the New Orleans Saints would be parting ways with Sanders due to their hellish cap situation. However, Pelissero reports that Sanders’ release will not become official until sometime around 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday due to cap reasons. Once officially released by the Saints, Sanders is reportedly slated to fly to Buffalo on Thursday to take a physical and then finalize the deal. In his one season with the Saints, Sanders caught 61 passes for 726 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games played while boasting a career-high 74.4% catch rate. Sanders is set to turn 34 years old on Wednesday, but has proven that he’s still a threat in the secondary and knows how to get open.’

‘According to NFL Network’s Mike Silver, the longtime Patriots standout considered joining the Buffalo Bills, his ex-AFC East rivals, before re-signing in Tampa.’
Bills sign punter Matt Haack
‘The signing of Haack may mean the Bills are prepared to move on from Corey Bojorquez, who is a Restricted Free Agent. To retain Bojorquez’s rights, the Bills would have to give him a minimum qualifying offer of $2.13 million, which would make him one of the top-10 paid punters in the NFL by cash, and in the top half of the league in terms of salary cap hits in 2021.’
Reports: Bills sign Emmanuel Sanders, trade Lee Smith
‘NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Bills have agreed to sign Sanders, who has yet to officially be released by the New Orleans Saints, but will be and is flying to Buffalo for a physical.’
