‘Here’s the thing, though. The Bills have had to take plays out of their play book the past two seasons when Allen has been out of the game. His mobility is a big part of how offensive coordinator Brian Daboll has devised his scheme, and with Barkley the Bills just couldn’t do certain things that Daboll could call with Allen in the game. Trubisky changes all of that. He has a strong arm and, like Allen, uses his legs to escape the pocket to try and extend plays and even run with it. That’s where the similarities end, though. Trubisky’s inability to consistently push the ball down the field has limited his development. Working with Allen and the team of coaches in place could help.’
