‘With Norman set to become an unrestricted free agent next month, the Bills are again left with a question about what to do with Wallace. He’s a restricted free agent, so the Bills can retain his rights with a qualifying offer. To do so, however, likely will cost at least $2 million. The Bills could decline the option, which would allow Wallace to become an unrestricted free agent, and then attempt to sign him at a lower price, but that comes with some risk because another team might be able to step in. That makes the future of the No. 2 cornerback spot one of General Manager Brandon Beane’s biggest offseason decisions.’

Bills would have many options for fitting J.J. Watt under salary cap
‘Like all teams, the Bills have many ways to create space. One is by reworking contracts to convert a player’s base salary for 2021 into bonus money, thereby spreading it over the remaining years of the contract. It’s just a question of how much money a team wants to push into future years.’
Given their salary cap situation, is it possible for the Bills to sign J.J. Watt?
‘However, the one problem the Bills are facing is the salary cap because at present, they have no room to sign Watt. The Bills are already going to have to cut several players and will probably restructure other contracts just to give them the ability to re-sign some of their own free agents, most prominently offensive linemen Daryl Williams and Jon Feliciano, and linebacker Matt Milano.’
NFL free agency rumors: What will J.J. Watt’s contract look like with new team?
‘The final number per season on Watt is expected to be around $12 million, according to Spotrac.com’s Mike Ginnetti, who threw out that number on the latest episode of his podcast.’
Rating the rookies: RB Zack Moss
‘Moss flashed that he can make himself a reliable pass catcher and towards the end of the year seemed like the Bills preferred option at RB1.’
STAY or GO: Bills linebackers
‘Milano’s future is somewhat tied to 2018 first round draft pick Tremaine Edmunds. The Bills have been very supportive of their middle linebacker, but that will be tested this spring. Edmunds 5th year option decision is due and a long term, substantial money contract is waiting for the 22 year old.’
BillsMafia, Stefon Diggs feels the same way…
‘In his first season with the Bills it’s hard to have imagined it better for Diggs. The wide receiver had the best year of his career leading the league with 127 catches for 1,535 yards and eight touchdowns.’
NFL power rankings | Where the Bills sit heading into the 2021 offseason
‘The Bills are well situated to remain one of the top teams in the AFC in 2021, with their dynamic duo of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs both under contract. Add in the potential for second year jumps from guys like receiver Gabriel Davis and running back Zack Moss, and this offense under Brian Daboll (whom they somehow retained) could be even better than the one we saw in 2020. Buffalo will have to make some decisions on the offensive line, with guard Jon Feliciano and tackle Daryl Williams heading toward free agency, but it’s in good shape to storm back in 2021.’
Bills Today | Jessie Pegula is set to appear in tonight’s Australian Open quarterfinal
‘”Even last year, when he wasn’t playing that well, I was like, ‘I like this kid.’ I loved his competitive spirit. He was a gamer. He just wanted to win. That’s something you love to see,” she said about Allen. “It’s definitely something I think I tried to take into my game a little bit, even watching the team getting that grit, that competitive attitude, having that mindset; in tennis, it’s like 90%, sometimes, of the matches. I think it’s been really cool to watch them and kind of channel that energy into how I’ve been doing.”’
