Opinion: The Big Picture: Joy and hurt are all part of the journey

‘I don’t think most of us got to a place where we thought about the season ending, and what it would look like, and what it would feel like. Especially not the way it did – with a team that just didn’t look the same as what we’ve seen most of the season. A team that seemingly coached not to lose instead of being aggressive to give them more of a chance to win. A team that couldn’t execute on offense at nearly the same level they had for most of the season. An MVP-caliber quarterback who looked uncomfortable at times, and wide receivers who couldn’t get open like they have for most of the last 18 games.’

Bills WR Cole Beasley finished season playing with “broken fibula”

‘Beasley was injured in that Monday night game and later limped to the bench to be looked at by trainers. The next week he was listed as week-to-week and missed the team’s regular season finale against the Miami Dolphins. While he was limited leading up to the team’s Wild Card game against Indianapolis, Beasley said there was no way he was missing the postseason.’

‘The fans cheered as the team walked down the stairs of the plane. The players remained distant, walking into a nearby building. Chants of “M.V.P…. M.V.P.” could be heard as quarterback Josh Allen came into view. The QB was mostly hanging his head, but looked up to acknowledge the crowd a few times before he left their sight.’
