‘The New York Jets made an official request to interview Daboll according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. General manager Joe Douglas was able to see Daboll’s offense four times over the past two seasons since joining New York. Daboll’s play-calling, execution and–most importantly–his role in developing Josh Allen likely makes Daboll an intriguing possibility to Douglas. New York could ask Daboll to try to salvage Sam Darnold’s career in New York or give him the option of drafting a quarterback No. 2 overall. Zach Wilson and Justin Fields would be among the candidates with that selection.’
