Bills Today | Fans earn praise from Sean McDermott + players
‘”I’m just so thankful, McDermott stated. “I am so thankful and again, it’s not one person, I’m so thankful and so happy for the fans, honestly. I’m just so happy for the fans, it’s just such a cool place to be a part of because of the work ethic of the people and character of the people in Buffalo around Buffalo and Western New York. I love seeing Bills flags wave out in people’s yards and I’m hoping there are a lot more people buying Bills flags tonight to give as Christmas gifts this year. I’m humbled just to be a part of it honestly.”‘
Bills’ Jerry Hughes returns to site of NFL debut as defensive captain, mentor for Super Bowl contender
‘“I’m the veteran guy on the team,” Hughes said. “There’s no more turning and looking to ’Zo or looking to Kyle to kind of lead the reins. I needed to kind of take control of that. So it was a lot more conscious this year. It was on my mind this offseason, so I felt like I could kind of help out in that department, just because the team is so young.”’
Take Five: Bills should be able to seize first chance to win AFC East
‘A victory Saturday would show the rest of the NFL that the Bills understand being an elite team means winning the games you’re supposed to win. And win them convincingly.’
Scouting Report: Bills receivers should feast on banged-up Broncos secondary
‘Prediction: Bills 31, Broncos 13.’
Matchup watch: Bills need to exploit WR edge vs. Broncos
‘Denver is without its top two cornerbacks, A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan, with the former on suspension and the latter down with a serious knee injury suffered last week. Backups Duke Dawson, Kevin Toliver and Essang Bassey also have gone down this month. That means five of the team’s top seven cornerbacks are out.’
Bills Mailbag: Now that GM Brandon Beane is signed long term, what should be his top priority?
‘The upcoming postseason will tell us more about the urgency to strike a deal with Allen. It’s all but certain the team will pick up the quarterback’s fifth-year option on his rookie deal, which will mean he’s signed through 2022.’
Cuomo ‘would love nothing more’ than seeing Bills fans at home playoff game
‘”I would love nothing more, on a personal level, than to see Buffalonians enjoy this moment,” the governor said. “…Buffalo deserves it. Buffalo Bills fans are like none other.”‘
Sean Kirst: Covid pushed him to the brink. The Bills are helping to bring him back.
‘Not “the” Bills. “My Bills,” said Washington, who speaks with admiration of the grit of free safety Jordan Poyer, and “the hunger” of wideout Stefon Diggs, and of the qualities of so many players he respects.’
Voice of the Fan: As Bills climb toward top of NFL, Bills fans go over the top
‘All of this is making our heads spin like a top.’
Josh Allen’s red zone prowess has been key in Bills’ offensive revival
‘My pick: Bills 26, Broncos 24.’
Bills meet Broncos in search of division crown
‘The Bills, who beat Denver 20-3 in Orchard Park last season, are 6½-point favorites against a struggling team, which has been inundated with major injuries and dealt so poorly with the coronavirus it was forced to play a home game (31-3 loss to New Orleans) using a practice squad wide receiver at quarterback when all four of its QBs were forced to quarantine.’
Bills’ Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley in for big day vs. Broncos? (5 things to watch)
‘Heading into Saturday’s game, the Broncos are down to three healthy cornerbacks against the Bills.’
Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos 2020: Preview, odds, predictions for Week 15
‘The Broncos have an erratic young quarterback in Drew Lock and a defense that’s been absolutely ravaged by injuries, specifically in its secondary. Buffalo should roll into the Mile High city and trample the Broncos – but we all know the NFL doesn’t quite work like that. Denver poses some challenges for the Bills despite their youth on offense and their patchwork depth chart on defense.’
How to watch Bills at Broncos: TV channel, time, live stream information
‘Defensively, Buffalo has been playing their best football of the season. Their run defense, a weakness early in the year, has played very well in the past three weeks. They’ll get challenged on Saturday by the duo of Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay. Denver’s passing attack could also cause some problems. Drew Lock is coming off of an outing where he threw four touchdown passes. Noah Fant, Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler and Tim Patrick can all make plays for the Broncos in the passing game. Buffalo’s secondary will be tested, but there many be some opportunities for the unit as well. Lock enters the game with 13 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions.’
