‘It was hard to tell Miller during the 2014 interview that Talley coined the word more than four years before the play-by-play announcer made it gold-plated.’

Bills healthy, Patriots have ridiculous injury report ahead of Monday Night Football (Look)
‘Buffalo, meanwhile, enters the game relatively healthy. Tight end Reggie Gilliam was ruled out for the game by Sean McDermott. The undrafted free agent rookie is dealing with a knee and hamstring injury. Offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe (groin) and safety Jaquan Johnson (ankle) are both listed as questionable for the matchup.’
Can Bills’ Josh Allen win chess match vs. Bill Belichick, Patriots defense? (5 things to watch)
‘This year, Allen took another step in his play against the Patriots. Allen threw one bad interception in Buffalo’s victory, but finished the game completing 61 percent of his passes. Despite being held under 200 yards passing, Allen was able to diagnose what Bill Belichick was trying to do at the line and change the play when necessary. It led to a run-first effort for Buffalo’s offense, something we have not seen much from the Bills this year.’
Dolphins to start Tua Tagovailoa vs. Bills in Week 17 despite being benched for second time
‘Despite Fitzpatrick playing the role of hero, Flores said the team would start Tagovailoa against the Bills. Of course, Flores stopped short of guaranteeing that Tagovailoa would finish the game.’

Thad’s Three Things: Bills at Patriots
‘I think Devin Singletary and Zack Moss get more than their usual amount of work, but don’t expect the same run-dominant offense that was on display the last time these two teams met.’
Bills trying to change numbers against Patriots
‘The Patriots domination of the league for the last 20 years was well documented, but it began every year with the domination of the division. In 2020 Buffalo not only won the AFC East, but they have a shot to pull off their rare triple sweep. While Buffalo dominated the division during the Super Bowl years, they never went unbeaten in the AFC East. On 3 different occasions the Bills finished 7-1 (the division had 4 teams at the time ) in 1988, 1990, 1991 and 1993) With wins over the Patriots and Dolphins they would finish the year 6-0. How rare is that? The Patriots did it in 2012 and their undefeated season of 2007. The Dolphins did it in 1984 and their undefeated season of 1962.’

What Bills fans need to know about the AFC playoff picture | Week 16
‘According to The New York Times’ playoff simulator, the Bills can clinch the second seed this week with a win over the Patriots combined with losses by the Steelers and Titans.’
Bills Today | This Bill should be in your fantasy lineup for Week 16
‘Moss gets the Patriots this week, and New England has allowed back-to-back 100-yard games against Cam Akers and Ahmed. And Moss had 14 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns against the Patriots in Week 8. Moss has back-to-back games with 13 carries, and the Bills are giving him the chance to be the lead back ahead of Devin Singletary. While both have flex appeal this week at New England, I expect Moss to have the better performance and hopefully find the end zone.’
Tre White fulfilling Bills’ expectations – as usual – in wake of new contract
‘“Me and him have a special bond because it’s his first head-coaching job and he picked me to be his first pick to try and come in and try and turn this thing around,” White said. “He hand-picked me. I don’t take that lightly. I’m going to continue to try to make them proud and make them right, him and Brandon Beane.”’
X’s and O’s: Patriots have a heavy lift, starting with QB, after season
‘The Pats will pick about 15th in the draft. There probably will be five teams picking ahead of the Pats that need a quarterback (Jets, Jaguars, Panthers, Falcons and Niners) and maybe six (Bears). It’s early to forecast. Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Ohio State’s Justin Fields seem sure to go 1-2. North Dakota State’s Trey Lance and BYU’s Zach Wilson are good bets for the top 10. That leaves Alabama’s Mac Jones and Florida’s Kyle Trask as candidates for No. 15. Maybe. Neither one of them is as good a prospect as Buffalo’s Josh Allen or Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa. The other option is to land a veteran castoff, like the Niners’ Jimmy Garoppolo. Bills Mafia wouldn’t lose sleep over Jimmy G.’
The Editorial Board: Bills, Erie County should embrace plan to let spectators into home playoff game
‘Critics say it is unfair for Cuomo to lift restrictions on the Bills while many businesses stay shuttered under the state’s orange zone rules. But this experiment in allowing less than 10% of the stadium to be occupied is an acknowledgment that when the data supports ways to reopen things safely, the rules can evolve, as happened when the state changed orange zone regulations to let hair salons and gyms open with limited capacity. And this gathering of fans, too small to be called a “crowd,” will hardly add much to the bottom line of the Bills and the businesses that depend on them after eight fan-free home games.’
