‘It’s impossible to know with any certainty just how much Edmunds’ shoulder injury is impacting his performance, but the fact remains he’s just not making that many game-changing plays – which is exactly what’s expected of a first-round draft pick. Edmunds is second on the Bills with 52 tackles, but has just one tackle for loss and one pass defensed. No interceptions. No quarterback hits. No forced fumbles or recoveries. That’s really bad.’

Summit Center cancels drive-in viewing of Bills game over Covid concerns
‘The department said the event could proceed only if people stayed in their vehicles at all times, citing state health guidelines. Goodwin said organizers opted not to go ahead with the event.’
Can the Bills offense outscore the Seahawks if a shootout breaks out?
‘But here’s the thing that concerns me. If the Bills defense were playing better, say the way it played in 2019, it would be logical to think it could slow down this exciting Seattle offense to the point where the Buffalo offense – which hasn’t exactly been cooking lately – could score enough against a weak Seahawks defense to win the game. That’s not the case, though, and unless the Bills put forth their best defensive game of the season, I don’t think Allen and company can go toe-to-toe in a shootout with Wilson and his comrades.’
Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks 2020: Preview, odds, predictions for Week 9
‘With all that said I just can’t pick against the MVP through 8 week. Wilson is so good and makes good defenses look average.’
How to watch Bills vs. Seahawks: TV channel, time, live stream information
‘The opportunity for Allen to put up big numbers may be there against a Seahawks secondary that has struggled this season. His chances to connect on a few big shots will also improve if Buffalo’s run game picks up where they left off last week. The Seahawks are more likely to bite on play-action passes if Zack Moss and Devin Singletary are running effectively.’
Five takes: Bills need pass defense, Allen to step up to pull upset over Seahawks
‘Another problem for the Bills’ pass defense, but in a different way, will be receiver Tyler Lockett, who PFF grades as its 13th best receiver on pass routes (81.3). While focusing on Metcalf, Buffalo must also favor Lockett, especially on third down, where he can be extremely lethal. Thus far, Lockett has recorded the eighth-most first downs by reception in the NFL (31), and is a chain mover in every sense of the phrase.’

Opinion: Seahawks at Bills: Sal’s keys, notes and stats
‘Since Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier have been in charge of the Bills defense their first year together in 2017, they’ve consistently been one of, if not the best team in the league in not allowing long pass plays. Seattle will want to push the ball down the field and make those plays, and they’re very good at that. The Bills will want to limit them and have been good at doing that.’
Bills place LB Matt Milano on injured reserve
‘Milano had been on a strict “snap count” as he worked his way back from a pectoral injury that kept him out of the Bills’ two losses in 2020. Sunday’s game against Seattle will be the fourth that he’s missed in 2020 due to injury.’

Thad’s Three Things: Bills vs. Seahawks
‘One of two things likely need to be true for Buffalo to win this game. Either the Bills need to play significantly better than we’ve seen the last month or Seattle’s 6-1 start needs to be more a mirage than most believe.’
5 Bills-Seahawks questions to answer today
‘It’s pretty obvious the Bills head coach doesn’t trust his defense. But does he feel that way about his quarterback? Every Seahawks game is a shootout and they usually win (6-1). But does Sean McDermott believe he has the quarterback and the offense to go head to head with Seattle and outscore them? I think it is the worst the shot. The Bills did not think their defense was good enough to go full go against the Chiefs and they ended up trying to squeeze out a win. They did not. It will be fascinating if McDermott believes Allen can win a shootout against Russell Wilson.’
Bills place Matt Milano on injured reserve; activate LB Del’Shawn Phillips
‘Linebacker Matt Milano has been placed on injured reserve. He has been dealing with an injury to his pec since the Raiders game in Week 4. Linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips has been activated from the injured reserve list. Phillips, 23, made his NFL debut in Buffalo’s Week 1 victory of the Jets. He suffered a quad injury and has not seen action since Week 1. Phillips is a native of Detroit and played his college football at Illinois.’
