‘”Because now, you’re not looking at, ‘OK we’ve got the division under control after 10 weeks,’ ” said Davis, who also was on the call for CBS’ coverage of the Bills’ Nov. 1 win against New England. “Miami is a surprise. We all knew they’d be better, but I don’t know how many people thought they’d be in this position right now. New England, I thought in the preseason, would be in the playoffs. They slumped, but now they’re starting to make a little bit of a comeback.”‘

Sullivan: AFC race shaping up to be a doozy
‘Nothing is guaranteed with six weeks to go. Even with the addition of a seventh playoff team, it might take 11 wins to be sure of a spot. It might take until the final week to break the logjam, and there could be a tie for the final spot (or spots) at 10 victories.’
Bills roster, schedule, cap space: everything you need to know
‘As of Sunday morning, the Bills have 51 players on their active roster. They’re allowed 53 throughout the week. Cornerback Josh Norman is on the Reserve/Covid-19 list, which means he doesn’t count against the active roster. However, one of the open spots is likely going to go to him as soon as he clears all protocols, which could be at any time. The team has one more open roster spot.’

Bills Mailbag: Rush defense is tougher problem to solve than rush offense
‘I thought Mitch Morse was having a strong season before he got the concussion. His pass protection has been consistent. His run blocking was strong in the second game vs. the Jets, and against the Chiefs, Raiders and Rams. I expect him to go back to the starting center spot. With Cody Ford back from injury, he can join Jon Feliciano at guard. Presuming that’s the starting five for the game against the Chargers, it will be the first time all season the Bills have had their preferred starting five on the field together. Let that five try to build some continuity.’

Bills better run. It’s what Super Bowl Champs do
‘Through 10 games of the 2020 season the Bills run game numbers are not horrendous. They are on pace for just under 1600 yards and 15 touchdowns for the season. That would still leave them below anything the team with the Lombardi has done since 2015. But those numbers are inflated by Josh Allen’s stats. I know that Josh running the ball still counts as yards and touchdowns and it still impacts the overall offense. But we are talking about the value of being able to hand the ball to a running back and get production. When you remove the quarterback numbers, the Bills running stats are downright embarrassing.’
Bills fans: Who should you root for and against today?
‘Dolphins at Broncos This is the easy one for the week. A Miami win brings them into a tie with Buffalo in the standings in the AFC East (just the tie-breaker would technically keep the Bills ahead). This is a week to pretend Drew Lock is John Elway and hope Tua can’t play in altitude. Against Dolphins (of course)’

Roundtable Part 2: Which Bills player needs to step up in the last six games?
‘The most glaring problem is the lack of resistance Oliver provides against the run. Opposing backs consistently can look like All-Pros as they reach the second and third levels untouched. Additionally, he isn’t getting nearly enough inside pressure on quarterbacks, contributing to a lack of heat from the outside.’
