‘The day overall was slow around the league with no major deals and only a handful of minor moves.’

Bills add former Cowboys cornerback Daryl Worley to practice squad
‘Worley, 25, was drafted in the third round in 2016 by the Carolina Panthers. He played with the Panthers when Bills coach Sean McDermott was the defensive coordinator and Bills GM Brandon Beane was in the front office.’
At halfway point, Bills lead league in three and four wide receiver sets. Here’s why
‘It has worked well. The Bills rank 13th in yards gained (372 per game), up from 24th last year (335.8 per game). The Bills are 10th in passing yards (263.4 per game), up from 26th last season (204.8 per game). Josh Allen’s completion percentage is up from 58.8% to 67.1%. His passer rating is up from 85.3 to 102.4.’
Jim Kubiak: How Bills QB Josh Allen figured out Patriots’ amoeba defense
‘Allen played with patience, command and the intelligence of a veteran quarterback who knows how to win. He completed 11 of 18 attempts (61.1%) for 154 yards with one interception and one rushing touchdown. The beauty of his performance, though, was not necessarily seen in what he “did,” but rather in the mistakes he did not make and the blunders he cagily avoided.’
Josh Allen is shining, but Bills’ razzle-dazzle has vanished at midseason
‘Allen has improved his decision-making, though he still has some head-scratching moments and he’s fortunate to have only five picks — it could easily be double that. He has also shown patience and the ability to get through his reads and, for the most part, deliver the ball where it needs to go.’
Bills sign cornerback Worley week after being cut by Cowboys
‘Worley becomes Buffalo’s latest addition with ties to Carolina. He’s reunited with Bills coach Sean McDermott, who was the Panthers defensive coordinator during Worley’s rookie year. He is also familiar with Bills general manager Brandon Beane, who was previously an assistant GM in Carolina, and had a hand in drafting Worley.’
Bills sign cornerback Daryl Worley to practice squad
‘The 25-year-old was released by the Dallas Cowboys this past Wednesday after the team had reportedly failed to find a trade for the fifth-year cornerback. Worley played just seven games with the Cowboys this season, starting four of those contests while registering 14 tackles and one pass defended. He signed a one-year, $3 million deal with Dallas in the offseason.’
Opinion: Distraction Tweetbag!
‘I like the wins, sure, but I need the touchdowns. Two straight weeks without a passing touchdown? What are we, Navy?’
Bills add cornerback Daryl Worley to practice squad
‘Worley was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2016 and played in all 16 games that season. He spent one more year with the Panthers before playing with the Oakland Raiders for the 2018 and 19 seasons.’
Bills make no moves at trade deadline – add CB Worley to practice squad
‘Worley provides the AFC East-leading Bills veteran depth to an injury-depleted secondary as the team prepares to host the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.’
Bills running back Zach Moss up for NFL Rookie of the Week
‘He had 14 carries for 81 yards, averaging 5.78 yards a carry. This is Moss’ first nomination for NFL Rookie of the Week.’
Hitting the Bills Eye: Film review from win over Patriots
‘Ed Oliver was fantastic in an under-the-radar type way. He did have three consecutive pressures late in the second quarter and led the Bills in that department. He also put up a good fight against the run. I’ve mentioned Oliver’s motor before, but it needs more credit here. I can’t remember a defensive linemen who gets involved in more plays down the field after you’d think he would be out of it. Oliver chased multiple ball carriers down after they got through a hole two or three gaps away.’
Who needs sleep? Not Sean McDermott
‘Seattle has scored four touchdowns in every single game this season.’
Bills sign CB Worley to practice squad
‘Later in 2018, Worley signed with the Oakland Raiders. After sitting out a 4 game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, Worley got on the field and started 9 games in 2018 for Oakland. After a second year with the Raiders, Worley signed a one year, $3 million dollar deal with the Cowboys. His time in Dallas was short. The Cowboys defense was horrendous and Worley’s numbers were not good and he was released after week 7.’
The journey of ‘Captain Hughes’
‘”We’ve had our moments,” laughed the Bills defensive coordinator. “I’m not going to lie to ya.”‘
