‘White is active after a back injury kept him out of a 42-16 loss at Tennessee on Tuesday. Starting receiver John Brown is also active after missing the Tennessee game because of a knee injury.’

Josh Allen shoulders blame for Buffalo Bills’ recent struggles, says team ‘can’t afford to have me play poorly’
‘Buffalo has publicly stated its goal of winning the AFC East for the first time since 1995, and in order for the Bills to do so, Allen must return to a level of play comparable to what he showed during the first four weeks of the season.’
Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes vs. Bills’ Josh Allen: Who has the strongest arm?
‘We may never see either quarterback fully uncork a pass in a real game — both estimate they can throw it at least 80 yards. And with Mahomes ranking No. 2 in the NFL and Allen No. 6 in pass attempts of 20 or more yards since 2018, don’t be surprised to see Monday’s game turn into a showcase of their cannon arms.’
Chiefs vs. Bills score: Kansas City pounds Buffalo with ground game, improves to 5-1
‘Despite plenty of evidence that a steady ground game would ultimately help them break through against K.C.’s defense, Buffalo failed to establish any consistent rushing attack, with only Josh Allen breaking off some decent carries. Speaking of Allen, his arm talent was on full display, and he kept the Bills within reach for pretty much the whole night. But accuracy was a problem for a second straight game — and a stark contrast to Mahomes’ smooth night. Where in the world was John Brown? (Or is he just still not ready to contribute?) Defensively, it’s hard to put too much blame on Sean McDermott for expecting a unit featuring guys like Josh Norman to shut down K.C., but boy, was that front gashed all night long in the run game — an area in which Buffalo was actually solid coming into the matchup.’
Chiefs vs. Bills score, results: Clyde Edwards-Helaire runs over Buffalo defense in Kansas City win
‘Kansas City ran the ball 46 times for 245 yards, the most rushing attempts by the Chiefs in Andy Reid’s eight seasons as Kansas City head coach. Clyde Edwards-Helaire was the main man, racking up 26 carries for 161 yards (6.2 yards per carry). Backup running back Darrel Williams added six carries for 26 yards and a touchdown. His 13-yard score on fourth down late in the third quarter gave Kansas City a 20-10 lead.’
How did Josh Allen go from bad to good? Bills provide master class in how to draft, support a franchise QB
‘Football games being won in the trenches is more than just a cliché, and the Bills front office has understood that. While there’s still work to be done among the front, Allen seems much more poised behind the offensive line this year than in years past, not looking to escape and hanging in there to make tough throws on contact. That makes a pretty compelling formula and a scary sight for Bills opponents the rest of the season.’
Bills fall to Chiefs at home for second consecutive loss
‘Playing host to the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night at Bills Stadium in Orchard Park, Buffalo showed a better effort than in last week’s drubbing in Tennessee. However, the Bills still look like they’re a tier below the top teams in the AFC.’
Opinion: Arrow Up/Arrow Down – Chiefs at Bills
‘There’s no way around it, the Bills simply got run over by the Kansas City rushing attack. We’ve seen some leaks in the run defense this year, but this was total domination by the Chiefs offensive line and especially rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who ran for 161 yards on 26 carries, averaging a whopping 6.2 yards per run. The Chiefs as a team ran for 245 yards and averaged 5.3 yards per carry. Patrick Mahomes only had 225 yards passing, because he didn’t have to have more. The Chiefs just ran right at the Bills all night and their defense couldn’t stop them.’
Opinion: It’s time to vent about the Buffalo Bills
‘The Bills gave up 466 yards to the Chiefs Monday night and part of the reason was their defense simply couldn’t get off the field when it mattered the most. On 14 attempts, the Chiefs converted 9-third downs against the Bills defense and went 1 for 1 on fourth down. Whether it was Pat Mahomes breaking contain to extend plays or simply bad tackling, when the Bills needed someone to make a play defensively, none were made. Simple as that.’
Bills drop second straight game, fall short to Chiefs 26-17
‘The Chiefs averaged over five yards per carry as a team while rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire ran for 161 yards.’
Bills offense struggles to find rhythm in loss to Chiefs
‘So where did it all go wrong? You can blame the units on both sides of the ball, but plain and simple, you’ll never beat the defending Super Bowl champs when you only score 17 points.’
Bills defense struggles to contain Chiefs’ running game
‘”That’s the dynamic offense that you play against,” Bills safety Micah Hyde said. “We knew that they could take the top off. We feel like we did well not allowing them to take the top off, but the running game’s just another part of their game as well.”‘
Chiefs down Bills 26-17
‘As much as the first half was a shootout, the third quarter was quiet on both sides. But right before the end of the quarter, the Chiefs put together an 82-yard drive that ate up 7:27 minutes. On fourth and inches within the 15, Darrel Williams goes up the gut for a 13-yard touchdown. Chiefs take a 20-10 lead.’
Chiefs rushing attack overpowers Bills run defense on Monday night
‘Instead, the Chiefs basically did whatever they wanted to on the ground as the Bills run defense was a big problem in a 26-17 loss to the defending Super Bowl champs.’
4 Observations: Chiefs run over Bills 26-17
‘Running on empty. The game has been over for hours and the Chiefs just ran for another 8 yards. The Bills defense had no answer for the Kansas City running game. Clyde Edwards-Helaire finished with 161 yards on 26 carries (6.2 ypc) on the ground. The Bills dared the Chiefs to beat them on the ground and that’s exactly what they did, racking up 245 yards as a team. Kansas City seemed to have huge running lanes throughout the game, and when they didn’t, the defense didn’t make the tackle. The Bills have allowed 788 yards rushing this season, only four teams have allowed more.’
