‘Without Knox and Smith, the team has two tight ends on the active roster — veteran Tyler Kroft and rookie undrafted free agent Reggie Gilliam. According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kroft missed having close contact with Knox because his wife went into labor for more than 24 hours before delivering a baby girl at about 5 a.m. Friday. Kroft returned to the team in time for Friday’s practice, but missed being in close contact during positional meetings.’

‘The Jets’ offense is last in the NFL on third down, converting 30.2%. The Bills’ defense has slumped to 30th on third downs, allowing 53.5%. The Bills held the Jets to just 3.5 yards a carry in the opener, and there’s no Le’Veon Bell to deal with this week. He’s in Kansas City. The prospects look good for getting the Jets into a bunch of third-and-long situations. And the Jets’ offensive line is struggling with injuries and cohesiveness. This should be a game for the Bills’ edge rushers to beef up their numbers.’
