‘”We’re hopefully still trending up,” he said. “We haven’t won the division. And to me that’s the goal we have to accomplish because we need to host playoff games here in Orchard Park. The only way we get a chance to do that is to win the division, and we haven’t been able to take down the Patriots yet. Nobody has since we’ve been here so that’s still the team we’re chasing. ‘This year, there are more opportunities for players who clear waivers to find a spot on a practice squad. Teams will be able to carry 16 players on their practice squad. In the Buffalo Bills’ case that number could actually be 17 thanks to a possible roster exemption for Christian Wade. Six of the practice squad spots can be taken by veterans who have more than two accrued seasons. This is a new addition that will benefit teams.’

Roberts, Marlowe Re-Sign With Bills Day After Getting Cut

‘The two were signed and added to the 53-player roster after the Bills freed up two spots by placing starting guard Jon Feliciano and rookie receiver Isaiah Hodgins on injured reserve. Feliciano is expected to miss another six weeks with a torn pectoral muscle, and Hodgins was bothered by a shoulder injury in training camp.’

Bills announce 17-player practice squad

‘The team did elect to use their exempt spot on running back Christian Wade, who is in the final year of the league’s International Pathways Program. That means Wade is ineligible to sign with Bills’ or any other team’s active roster in 2020. But he’ll still be practicing with them every day and can still come back to camp next year if they choose to have him.’
