‘Head coach Sean McDermott led the Bills to a 4-win improvement last year, which was the team’s largest jump since 2001 to 2002. Some obvious next steps for this season would be to win the division and to host and win a playoff game.’

Cam Lewis, Justin Zimmer elevated from practice squad for Jets game
‘The Bills announced that cornerback Cam Lewis and defensive tackle Justin Zimmer have been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.’
What Bills fans should expect out of Josh Allen today
‘Even the most diehard Bills fan, wearing the 17 jersey and ranting on Twitter to anyone who questions Allen has some doubt. The 300 yard game is a stat and an overvalued one at that. But there is some validity to the criticism. There are times when the QB just needs to put the team on his arm and carry the game. Sure it’s great to be able to run and make plays, but it’s not easy to do that over and over again and survive in this league. Josh Allen needs to be snapping off passing to John Brown in the flat. He needs to be on target as Cole Beasley wins in the slot. And he needs to find Diggs down the field for big plays. He needs the defense to fear him in the pocket because he is going to pick them apart.’
NFL analysts | Bills vs. Jets game predictions | Kickoff Weekend
‘The Bills are coming off a playoff season, while the Jets are trying to build something. Buffalo is the much better team. They will limit the Jets offense here and Josh Allen should have a big game against the Jets defense. Bills big.’
Bills Today | Spreading an important message
‘Bills assistant head coach/defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier is proud of the stance that the league is taking on this big issue and will wear a decal this season. It is unknown what message or name he will have on his hat today and throughout the season, but Frazier hopes it can make a positive difference.’
Quarterbacks will decide the AFC East title
‘Suddenly, New England’s situation didn’t seem so dire and it became clear the division will be decided by its QBs.’
Assessing the 2020 Bills position-by-position
‘Given that in 2019 Buffalo was second in the NFL in fewest points surrendered and third in least yards given up, it already had a playoff-quality defense in place.’
Inside the Bills: Social justice messages players and coaches will share Sunday
‘”I usually meet the captains every week and we’ll talk about that as we move forward in the day or two leading up to the game, as we are, but nothing at this point,” McDermott said of specific plans. “But that does not mean that that’s going to stay that way. At this point, all good conversations and all heading in the right direction.”’
Take Five: Bills must avoid believing the hype … even if it’s true
‘”We literally live in the underdog mindset,” Dawkins said. “That’s where we live, that’s where we breathe, that’s where we eat. We appreciate all of the love, but we worry about ourselves. People will talk good and people will talk bad, but as long as we just focus on the 2020 Buffalo Bills, the rest will be history.”‘
Buffalo Bills offense no longer holding back its elite defense: Stefon Diggs has evened playing field
‘“I’d be lying to you guys – (and) I would have never admitted this back then – but it was frustrating some of those years to go out there,” Hyde said. “Defense possibly playing well or getting some takeaways and then our offense going out there and struggling. It was frustrating.”’
Bills-Jets injury report: Josh Norman out; Levi Wallace healthy, expected to start
‘The Bills released their final injury report on Friday and listed Norman as out after the 32-year-old missed the last three days of practice. Wallace was listed all week but he practiced everyday and looks poised to start against the Jets.’
Buffalo Bills’ Stefon Diggs vs. Jets cornerbacks screams mismatch (5 things to watch in Week 1)
‘Diggs, added via trade this offseason to give Josh Allen a No. 1 wide receiver, has a favorable matchup in his debut with Buffalo. When he lines up on Sunday he will see Pierre Desir, Bless Austin or Brian Poole lined up across from him. The trio of cornerbacks are certainly talented, but Diggs will see tougher challenges most weeks this season.’

‘Season prediction: 10-6.’
