‘Let’s move past stats for a minute — Allen has looked completely comfortable operating Brian Daboll’s offense, except for a few antsy scampers out of the pocket when he could’ve stayed in and surveyed longer. The rhythm, timing, and seemingly cerebral connections with Stefon Diggs, John Brown, and Cole Beasley have been exquisite. Allen has repeatedly shown he wants to and can be a dangerous pocket passer. Given his excellence eluding oncoming defenders en route to big gains with his legs, Allen’s willingness to keep his eyes up and deliver in-stride strikes is a scary proposition for opposing defenses.’

Bills release tight end Jason Croom from practice squad
‘With Croom’s release, just one player that caught passes from Allen in his rookie year remains on the team. That player is wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie.’
Air Allen
‘Allen is off to a flying start, albeit, against two of the weaker opponents on the schedule.’
Tre’Davious White gives back to his alma mater
‘Green Oaks football coach Terrence Isaac, Sr. tweeted out a picture of the varsity football team, thanking White. According to the tweet White provided the team with uniforms, gloves, and cleats.’
Allen, Diggs lead league in passing, receiving yards
‘Quarterback Josh Allen is leading the league in passing yards with 729 yards so far on the season and wide receiver Stefon Diggs is leading the league in receiving yards with 239 yards so far on the season.’
Bills on film: Lots to like in Miami
‘Stefon Diggs earns plenty of love for his ability to gain separation. In this game, I liked his ability to make plays at the catch point. The second quarter throw when he skied over two defenders for an incredible catch was a good example. It wasn’t a well thrown Allen ball. Diggs was running to the sideline and needed a touch throw over his head. Instead, Allen lasered it a bit. Diggs was able to stop, turn around and get up to pick the ball over two other sets of hands. The better play was the 21 yarder near the sideline in the fourth quarter after the Bills had taken the lead. Noah Igbinoghene is in decent position underneath Diggs. You wonder if Allen should even be trying this pass, considering the situation. The throw was phenomenal, but Diggs made it complete by just slightly working back to the ball to get his body in front of Igbinoghene. That’s how you get to be a number one receiver in the NFL.’
Gabriel Davis on his impressive first NFL touchdown and his mindset now
‘”I always felt like I was ready for those situations,” Davis continued, “anything that came to me I feel like I was ready to do.”‘
Bills release tight end Jason Croom from the practice squad
‘Croom originally joined the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He produced 22 receptions for 259 yards and a touchdown in his Bills career all coming in 2018.’
Inside the mindset of Stefon Diggs
‘”I kind of always tell that story and preface it by saying, you don’t usually see a whole lot of guys in the NFL that really stick out and that look different. Maybe over a sample size of 10, 15 practices you can see guys separate themselves. But he kind of immediately did that over the first couple days. So, you knew there was something special there.”‘

Tyrel Dodson draws praise after stepping in for Tremaine Edmunds as Bills’ middle linebacker
‘“Tremaine was very important to me,” Dodson said Sunday after playing 74 of 75 defensive snaps in the Bills’ 31-28 win over the Miami Dolphins. “We really didn’t talk a lot of football. He really just talked about being myself, keeping my composure. Don’t try to live up to anyone’s standards, just play your game because he honestly believes I’m a good football player, so that’s what I went out there and did – tried to lead my defense.”’
What we learned from Bills’ snap counts in Week 2 win, game ball and more
‘”Just taking a look from an offensive strategy standpoint, and looking at some things,” head coach Sean McDermott explained Monday. “The first couple of weeks, three, four weeks, you’re trying to find out who you are as a football team and what gives you the best chance to win against different matchups, different looks. And so I think that’s where we are at some positions right now, in particular because we haven’t had the preseason games to do that. I’d say it’s a combination of both. We feel good about Cody and Brian and Quinton Spain inside there among others. Just trying to find combinations that work best.”‘
