‘The one thing that should really concern all of us, though – it appears the defense has taken a considerable step back as a group. They gave up 28 points to Ryan Fitzpatrick in Week 2 and followed it up by getting gashed by Darrell Henderson, Jr. for over 100 yards on the ground, and 300 yards passing from Jared Goff, including an alarming 32 second half points.’

Josh Allen gets last laugh over Jalen Ramsey in epic Bills win
‘Ramsey held up his end of the bargain by only allowing one reception, however, that reception just so happened to be a touchdown to Stefon Diggs.’
These guys are good… scary good
‘Los Angeles basically shredded the Bills defense from that point on, as they scored 29 straight points on four drives over 18-and-a-half minutes. But Allen, a.k.a Mr. Fourth Quarter, guided the Bills down the field on a drive that included some big throws and some scary situations. Allen tried to do too much by himself moments. With Stefon Diggs having a quiet day and John Brown sidelined by an injury, Cole Beasley became the big playmaker in the passing game. He had receptions of 18, 22 and 19 yards. The 22-yard catch came on a third-and-22 play.’
Arrow Up/Arrow Down – Rams at Bills
‘I’ve been following the Bills since I was a child and I’ve never seen them give up a lead like they did on Sunday. But it wasn’t just the lead given up, it was how quickly and easily it seemed to happen. The Bills led 28-3 with 8:05 left in the third quarter. They were in complete control. They had a west coast team dead and buried, ready to send them packing early and want to get back home. But they gave up a quick 8-play drive for a TD, got intercepted (albeit on a controversial call), then gave up an even quicker 3-play TD drive, then went three-and-out. The Rams scored agin and the lead had basically evaporated. It was stunning, especially for a Sean McDermott coached team, a McDermott/Leslie Frazier coached defense, and an offense that could seemingly do whatever they wanted until things turned.’
Peyton Manning amazed by Josh Allen after watching film
‘“Look at this throw,” Manning says after breaking down an Allen throw to Stefon Diggs. “Wow. He’s got a guy that hits him as he’s throwing to keep him from finishing the throw. His own guy actually kind of hits him. It’s one thing to get hit by a defensive lineman, you’re getting hit by an offensive lineman. You got 600 pounds coming at you and he still hits Diggs in stride on a little 43-yard laser. Awesome play.”’
Bills hold on to beat Rams 35-32, improve to 3-0 on season
‘Then things changed. Josh Allen was intercepted in a controversial call midway through the third quarter and from there, it was all Rams, scoring 29 unanswered points to take a 32-28 lead with just minutes left in the game. With just seconds left, Allen found Tyler Kroft for his second touchdown of the game to put the Bills back up for good.’
Another week, another fourth-quarter comeback led by Josh Allen
‘Allen finished the day with five total touchdowns and threw for more than 300 yards passing for the third consecutive week. On Sunday, the third-year quarterback became the Bills new all-time leader for passing yards after three weeks. He also becomes the first player in NFL history to record 10 passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns after three weeks. His progress is startling and when crunch time comes, he delivers.’
Bills show social distance signage at Sunday’s game
‘During the game the jumbo-trons showed signs asking for social distancing and having parties stay together.’
Bills survive second half defensive struggles
‘But coming out of the halftime break, the wheels on the Buffalo defense seemed to fall off, and the Rams attacked.’
Bills give up a 25-point lead but escape with a win over the Rams to start 3-0
‘It was a chance for the Bills to make a statement and show what kind of team they really are after playing two weaker opponents with the Dolphins and Jets. Beating the Rams says a lot about how far the Bills have come. Los Angeles has big time playmakers on both sides of the ball, something you can’t say about the previous two teams the Bills beat so this was a big win.’
Bills QB Josh Allen leads another fourth quarter comeback to beat Rams in week three
‘“Going up 28-3 as a team we’ve got to be better, we gotta make sure we’re keeping our foot on the pedal and we got to put that game away,” Allen said.’
Final drive spells victory for Bills
‘“At the end of the day, we made the plays on the last drive that we needed to make,” Bills head coach Sean McDermott said.’
After challenging first season in Buffalo, Tyler Kroft comes up with huge performance vs. Rams
‘“There’s emotion that’s been brought into this, re-breaking my foot, blowing out my other ankle so I mean playing on two bad feet last year there was a lot of stuff to overcome personally but I’ve always been taught you come to work every day ready to go, you handle your opportunities when they come and handle your business like a pro so I was just happy I was in a position to make a play today,” Kroft said.’
Bills WR Cole Beasley on Josh Allen: “You’re gonna run through a wall for him”
‘“We have some competitive dogs in our locker room. I can’t say enough about “one-seven”, Josh is competitive as hell. He’s gonna make sure that we’re in a position to win and you see it out there. He’s trying to stiff arm four dudes and still throw the ball down field. He’s a competitive guy and he’s gonna put us in position to win every time,” tight end Tyler Kroft said.’
4 Observations: Bills beat Rams, improve to 3-0
‘The Bills struggled to stop L.A.’s rushing attack. The defense allowed the Rams to run at will, gashing them for 167 yards and averaged 5.2 yards per carry. Darrell Henderson led the Rams with 114 yards on the ground. Run defense is something the Bills need to clean up before they face the Raiders.’
