‘”For me, I just feel like I’ve always been doubted all my life and always had to prove something to somebody,” said Davis on a Zoom call with reporters on Tuesday, “You know, it’s more to prove it to myself, to know the work that I put in will set me apart from other people.”‘

Bills: No fans for at least first 2 home games
‘The ironic part for the Bills is that they will be playing in front of fans in week 2 in Miami because the Dolphins, with the blessing of the State of Florida, will be permitedd to have as many as 20, 000 fans in the stands for their home games. Head Coach Sean McDermott considers that to be an unfair advantage for some teams and called the league’s decision to allow fans in some places when others can’t “ridiculous”.’
Bills rookie wide receivers praised for understanding of playbook
‘The Bills rookie wide receivers, Gabe Davis and Isaiah Hodgins, have been highly praised for their quick understanding of the playbook.’
No fans allowed at first 2 Bills home games
‘Those games are against the Jets and the Rams.’
Bills provide this update to fans for the first two home games of the 2020 season
‘In June, New York State issued COVID-19 guidance to allow professional sports to be played without spectators. After much discussion and collaboration with the State and Erie County, those guidelines will remain unchanged for at least our first two home games in 2020.’
Top 3 things to know from Day 8 at Bills training camp
‘The first team period started off with a heavy dose of Stefon Diggs action. Diggs was targeted three times in a row and didn’t drop a pass from Josh Allen. The pair had a crisp connection with each other today. Getting the timing and connection with each other to become muscle memory has been at the top of their list. Allen explained yesterday the timing is on the right track and will improve once they begin watching film together. In a later team period Diggs caught four straight passes from Allen. Diggs finished off the day with a nice catch in traffic with Tre’Davious White and Matt Milano in coverage. I can’t wait to watch these two in Week 1.’
Bills Today | Gabriel Davis looks up to this NFL receiving legend
‘”Who actually made me fall in love with the game, especially at the receiver position, was Larry Fitzgerald,” Davis explained. “Love watching Larry Fitzgerald. He was just an all-around great receiver–from hands, to blocking, to route running, to being physical, was a deep threat.”‘
Will Bills seek a new naming rights partner?
‘There are 30 stadiums in the league, with two of them shared: the Giants and Jets at MetLife in East Rutherford, N.J. and the Rams and Chargers at SoFi in Inglewood, Calif. Twenty-five of those facilities have sold naming rights, headed by the Cowboys who get between $17 and $19 million annually from AT&T.’
Bills’ Josh Allen eager to ‘move past’ lab error on Covid testing
‘”Obviously, I was super-frustrated that I wasn’t here (for practice Sunday),” Allen said during a Zoom call with reporters. “You lose reps that I can’t get back. At the same time, I think it was a good opportunity for our team to kind of go through a day of adversity like this. It allowed us to give us an opportunity to have this in case it were a game day.’
McDermott: ‘Ridiculous’ that some stadiums will have fans and others won’t
‘“I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be that, on the surface, what appears to be a playing field that’s like that, inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums,” McDermott said. “But it is what it is. We control what we can control. That’s got to be our mindset and that’s how we attack it.”’
Bills training camp observations: Rookie Gabriel Davis continues to shine
‘“The new guys, Diggs and Gabriel and those type of guys just making plays, it’s good to see, because there were some years on offense that we were struggling,” Hyde said. “There weren’t those guys to make plays. So it’s making us better, we’re making them better and ultimately it’s going to make the team better.”’
Being a guinea pig for a false positive COVID-19 test didn’t exactly please Josh Allen
‘“I’m happy that it happened now instead of come season time,” said Allen. “If this were to happen on Saturday or Sunday, who knows if I’d be playing. It sucks that I was kind of the guinea pig and whatnot, and part of that process, but I’m glad it wasn’t then, I’m glad it was now and we’re able to kind of move past it.”’
Devin Singletary is in great shape and prepared to be the Bills’ top running threat
‘This is the tendency in sports, falling in love with the new guy, and in Moss’ case, it’s easy to understand why that would happen. With his unique talent for being able to mix bruising runs with ones where he’s elusive enough to make defenders miss, the 2020 third-round draft pick and native south Floridian looks like he’s going to be a fun player to watch this season.’
Bills coach Sean McDermott says inconsistent NFL fan policy is ‘ridiculous’
‘“We control what we can control,” McDermott said on a Zoom call Monday morning. “I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be … what appears to be a playing field that is like that. Inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums. We control what we can control. That’s gotta be our mindset and that’s how we attack it.”’
Bills’ Sean McDermott: Ridiculous that some stadiums can have fans while others cannot
‘“It is what it is,” McDermott told the media ahead of Monday’s training camp practice. “We control what we can control. I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be… what appears to be a playing field that is like that. Inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums, but it is what it is. We control what we can control. That’s gotta be our mindset and that’s how we attack it.”’
