‘McCloud joined the Bills in 2018 as a sixth-round draft pick from Clemson. After the Bills waived him last August, he joined the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers released McCloud in October, and the Bills signed him to their practice squad. They signed him to a reserve/future contract last January.’

‘Brown was one of 18 players leaguewide who were added to the newly created reserve-list category, which means he either had a positive test for Covid-19 or is in quarantine after having been in close contact with a person or persons infected with the virus.’

‘Buffalo has one exemption roster spot for running back Christian Wade, who joined the NFL before last season as part of the league’s International Pathway Program. So technically the Bills only need to get down to 81 players. If the Bills choose not to get under that total before the start of camp they’ll have to separate the roster into two groups: rookies, first-year players, select quarterbacks, and injured players – and then all other players in the other group.’

So when they’re doing what they do, they are generating a large volume of huffing and puffing,” Sellick explained. ”Plus they’re very close to one another. … If these guys are really breathing heavily, as you would expect them to be with the kind of physical exertion that they do. ‘Buffalo added Jake Fromm in the fifth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Fromm is expected to be the future backup to Josh Allen, but Matt Barkley will assume that role for now. Before the NFL/NFLPA agreement, it seemed as though the Bills would have to carry three quarterbacks heading into 2020. That is no longer the case as the Bills could prevent other teams from taking Fromm by making him one of their protected practice squad players.’

‘The agreement includes a salary cap decrease for the 2021 season, a big win for the players who were in fear of the ‘20 cap being lowered. The players believed a lower cap would result in numerous high-priced veterans being cut or traded as teams tried to fit under the cap. The ‘21 cap will be lessened to $175 million from the $198.2 million where it resides this season.’
