‘“Day 1 will be hard,” Beane admitted of tonight’s opening round. “We’ve just got to play some videos of Stefon Diggs when 22 comes up. We’ll just be patient and watch it all and when Day 1 is over, whether (we trade back into the first round) or not, we’ll stare at the board … ‘What’s (there) that we like’?’

Here’s how Bills ended up with trade for Diggs
‘“All the time we hear rumors,” Beane said. “It was pretty open that we were snooping around (last) midseason to make a trade for another receiver and we just couldn’t find a deal that worked for us.”‘
Report: Bills pick up fifth-year option for Tre’Davious White
‘The Bills made White a first-round draft pick in 2017, meaning they had until May 30 to decide whether to add an extra year to his original four-year rookie contract. The former LSU star is due to receive a base salary of $1.84 million this year, but that now stands to increase by at least $9 million in 2021.’
New draft picks will find tougher job filling key roles in Bills’ roster
‘The Bills have 21 returning starters from their 10-6 team, and they’ve added nine veteran free agents with notable starting experience.’
Bills Mailbag: Playing GM ahead of the NFL draft
‘I feel like I’m on a bit of an island, but my biggest need is along the offensive line. While the Bills were improved up front in 2019, they still weren’t good enough. Even though all last year’s starters and top reserves are back, if I were the Bills’ GM this week, my goal would be to leave the draft with a player capable of starting on the offensive line.’
Ranking Bills’ top possibilities at No. 54 in NFL draft
‘Here’s a look at players the Buffalo Bills may consider taking with the No. 54 pick in the 2020 NFL draft on Friday and how The News’ Jay Skurski and Vic Carucci rank the likelihood that player will be the selection. One means least likely and 10 means most likely.’
Position-by-position preview of the 2020 NFL draft
‘It’s the same every year. There are teams desperate for a quarterback upgrade. There’s a reasonable argument that a defensive end, Chase Young of Ohio State, is the best overall talent in the draft. Yet, a quarterback, Joe Burrow of LSU, will be the No. 1 selection because the QB-desperate Cincinnati Bengals own the pick.’
Final Bills seven-round mock draft: Edge rusher, wide receiver highlight choices
‘Second round, No. 54 overall – Terrell Lewis, Edge, Alabama.’
A position-by-position breakdown of how the Bills can fortify their roster in NFL Draft
‘It doesn’t seem like T.J. Yeldon, Taiwan Jones and Christian Wade will fill that No. 2 role. Depending on how the board falls, it’s possible that Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor or Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins slip to No. 54, but it’s more likely that LSU’s Clyde Edwards-Helaire is there, and he looks like an ideal fit in Buffalo’s offense given his ability to catch the ball.’
Roth: Randy Moss and Aaron Rodgers picked by the Bills? It maybe, could have happened
‘Comparing the assets acquired (linebacker Cornelius Bennett, quarterbacks Rob Johnson and J.P. Losman, wide receiver Sammy Watkins) for the assets relinquished (five first-round picks, two seconds, a fourth and a fifth) in the years 1988, ’89, ’98, ’05 and ’15 provides plenty of fodder for historians.’
NFL Draft 2020: Predicting how Buffalo Bills GM will draft using 5 different scenarios
‘In each mock draft exercise the Bills will make a pick at 54 and 86, but we’ll take a look up and down the draft board to see if there may be any trade targets.’
Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs pens touching letter to brother, Alabama CB Trevon Diggs
‘New Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs penned an emotional, heartfelt letter to his brother, Alabama cornerback Trevon Diggs. Much of the letter touches upon positive memories: Growing up together as well as what he learned from Trevon. Stefon also gives his brother some terrific advice about playing in the NFL. Perhaps the most emotional part penned by Stefon is talking about the loss of their father and the challenge he took to take care of Trevon from that point on.’
Liberty WR Antonio Gandy-Golden says he’s had most contact with Buffalo Bills
‘In an interview with Emily Austen of Game On LU, Gandy-Golden reveals that he has had the most contact with Buffalo leading up to the draft.’
Former Buffalo Bills WR Percy Harvin wants to return to NFL
‘At one point in his career, Harvin was among the most dynamic players in the NFL but injuries and migraines caused him to miss a lot of time on the field. The wide receiver played with the Bills from 2015-2016, but only appeared in seven games over that time. A knee injury ended Harvin’s 2015 campaign (19-218-1 in five games). Harvin would retire in April of 2016, but returned to the Bills that November. He lasted two games before migraines ended his comeback.’
Last decade suggests Bills may be better off without a first round draft pick
‘As far as draft mistakes go, Marcell Dareus is the prime example of the Bills’ ineptitude in the front office. In one of the best drafts of my lifetime as a fan, the Bills took a run-stopping nose tackle at third overall, immediately after Cam Newton and Von Miller. If you don’t think that says enough about how bad the move was, consider the next three players off the board, in order: Bengals receiver A.J. Green, Cardinals corner Patrick Peterson and Falcons receiver Julio Jones. While the five other players in the top six of the draft have all played at the top of the league at their position, Dareus later became a salary dump to the Jaguars. While some may argue he was not a total bust because he did have two good seasons in 2013 and 2014, if you look at what could have been, Dareus is one of the most disappointing moves in the past decade.’
