Bills Mailbag: Should Brandon Beane make move up to draft wide receiver?
‘The depth of the receiver class, however, just as easily could mean he feels like he can wait on the position and still get a good player. That opens trade-down possibilities.’
Andre Reed on ‘progress,’ the No. 1 receiver question, Elbert Dubenion
‘”If I had to say just one word, I would say, ‘progress,’ ” Reed said of what he saw from the Bills in 2019. “Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott, from the time that I met both of those guys, said that they were going to change a lot about the whole situation in Buffalo from what it was before they were there.”‘

Talking Oilers, Bills’ schedule, Jaylen Adams
‘Bills fans probably don’t want to hear this, but it’s entirely possible Buffalo will be improved in 2020 and not get to 10 wins or return to the playoffs. This coming year’s schedule is as daunting as last season’s was soft.’
NFL rumors: Luke Kuechly mulling coaching/consulting role | Could Buffalo Bills be match for former LB?

What they’re saying | NFL analysts forecast these moves for the Bills this offseason
‘Allen has a lot going for him. His arm strength is matched by few in the NFL, and his playmaking ability on the ground is surpassed by only Lamar Jackson among signal-callers in the league. The Bills worked around his weaknesses and enhanced his strengths for much of the second half of the season, and a Ravens-level of that approach could certainly work in 2020 (if Brian Daboll returns), but I suspect we’ll see a great deal of under money on the Bills’ win total for 2020 as a result of the question marks surrounding the former first-round pick.’
Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips will discover his value on open market
‘Phillips has tweeted that he views himself as a top three defensive tackle, which likely would put his annual salary expectations at more than the Bills would be willing to pay. The top three defensive tackles all made more than $17 million last season.’
Bills’ Duke Williams stepped up at end of season, but is he an answer?
‘“Stay ready, so I won’t have to get ready,” Williams said of how he approached not playing for so long. “Don’t get discouraged. Continue to work and when the opportunity presents itself, be ready. The coaches always preach to me, ‘stay ready – you don’t know when your number is going to get called.’ My number got called and I just performed, showed them that I was available.”’
Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds earns first Pro Bowl nod
‘Edmunds led the Bills with 115 tackles in 2019. He also had nine passes defensed, 1.5 sacks and one interception. Edmunds, 21, had 121 tackles as a rookie in 2018. He’s the first player in NFL history with two seasons of 100-plus tackles by the age of 21.’

Buffalo Bills’ Tremaine Edmunds named to Pro Bowl, replacing Patriots’ Dont’a Hightower
‘The Bills traded up to the 16th pick in the 2018 NFL draft to select Edmunds, who became Buffalo’s middle linebacker at just 20 years of age. In his second season, Edmunds, now 21, started all 16 games for the Bills and led the team in tackles with 115 and had nine passes defenses, which ranked second on the team behind All Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White, who will also play in the Pro Bowl.’
Buffalo Bills denied New York Giants permission to interview OC Brian Daboll (report)
‘According to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, Judge had Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll high on his list of candidates for the job. Judge, 38, was familiar with Buffalo’s offensive coordinator from their time together with the New England Patriots. Judge and Daboll were on the Patriots’ coaching staff together from 2013-2016. His familiarity with Daboll, as well as the job Buffalo’s offensive coordinator has done with Josh Allen, likely landed Daboll near the top of his list of candidates. Judge is looking for someone who can help Daniel Jones’ development in the hopes of turning him into a franchise QB for the Giants.’
Tremaine Edmunds named to the Pro Bowl
‘One of the youngest starters in the entire league, Edmunds turned 21-years-old last May. He was selected 16th overall in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft after the Bills had seletced Josh Allen with the seventh overall pick that year.’
