‘“I think it helped me a lot. It left me scarred by just not trusting coaches in general, but I think it revived my whole career,” Watkins said of being traded. “Go to the playoffs my first year with the Rams and now to be in this situation, last year one game away from the Super Bowl and to be in the Super Bowl this year is blessings. … It was definitely needed for my career, my confidence, everything. It’s just been up since I left Buffalo.”’

Wide receiver or edge rusher: NFL draft experts split on Buffalo Bills’ pick

I think everyone’s committed to that.”‘
State of the Bills: Defensive tackle
‘Jordan Phillips is one of the team’s biggest pending free agents. After re-signing with the club on a one-year deal last offseason and betting on himself, he made it pay off. On top of the great energy and competitiveness he brought to the group, Phillips did everything that was asked of him and turned it all into a career year, collecting 9.5 sacks (second to only Aaron Donald for all NFL defensive tackles) and 31 total tackles. His previous highs were two sacks and 24 tackles. As a former second round pick and just 27-years-old, Phillips is hitting unrestricted free agency at the exact right time. Now the questions are how much he will command on the open market and if the Bills will be willing to pay that.’

‘The Bills have continued to make strides under McDermott, leaping from a 6-10 record last season to their first 10 win season in two decades. McDermott is 25-23 as head coach, just four wins shy of tying Wade Phillips for fourth all-time winningest coach of the Buffalo Bills.’

A stadium that is going to be competitive with other stadiums around the league is going to be important in that context, and I think everyone’s committed to that, whether it’s a new significant renovation or whether it’s a completely new facility in a new location.’
