‘“You’ve got to have power,” said ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay of the edge-rushing prospects after Wednesday’s practices. “You’ve got to have quickness and power. It can’t just be finesse and speed. And I think watching some of these guys, if you listened to Matt Patricia today, that was a frustration he expressed. You’ve got to show power. Some of these guys have to show more. Any good pass rusher’s got to be able to put that fear in them.”’

Buffalo Bills prospects: Utah edge rusher Bradlee Anae is used to swimming with sharks
‘“I just want to come here — and it’s the perfect week to do it — to prove that I’m one of the best in the country at pass rushing,” he said. “I can put my hand down in a 3-4 scheme and I came from Utah in a 4-3 so probably right now I’m more comfortable on the edge in a 4-3, but left or right, either side doesn’t matter.”’
The Bills need a wide receiver, and Arizona State’s Brandon Aiyuk would fit the bill
‘In fact, ESPN’s Todd McShay had the Bills taking Aiyuk in his first mock draft, published in late December, saying, “Yes, John Brown and Cole Beasley have been a big part of the Bills’ offense in quarterback Josh Allen’s second season, but that doesn’t mean the team doesn’t need more help on the offensive side of the ball. Aiyuk improves Buffalo’s receiving corps with his versatility and speed. But don’t be surprised if the Bills consider an edge rusher or cornerback here, either.”’
Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly wants to see Josh Allen be ‘more of a QB than athlete’ in year three
‘“I think what I’d like to see is him be more of a quarterback than an athlete,” Kelly said. “He’s such a good athlete that, at times, he relies on his athletic ability a little bit too much maybe. I think what he needs to do sometimes is just be the quarterback. Go drop back, read coverages, go with your instincts instead of having to think that, you know, at times I have to make something happen with my legs and then hit the corner, which he does a very good job at. But I think there are times when he needs to drop back, take what they give him and not have to worry about making that big play all the time. He’s getting better. I love what I see. I like his athletic ability. Year three, I think everybody including myself and I’m sure including Josh too because I’ve spent a lot of time with him, knows that he has to improve on the part of being a quarterback and not just an athlete. I think he definitely can do it.”’

What Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane said about Tom Brady potentially playing elsewhere in 2020
‘“He’s the best of all-time so you wish him well, but I’m not rooting for him to come back to New England or anything like that,” Beane said on Bleacher Report’s Stick to Football podcast. “I’ve said before we would love for him to retire or move on, but he’s a fun player for our guys to go against and what a career he’s had and will continue to have it sounds like going forward into his forties which is just amazing. He’s the greatest of all-time without a doubt in my mind and to go against that two times per year makes it hard. I can’t sit here and say I want him to play 10 more years in New England.”’
Sal’s State of the Bills: Offensive Line
‘It will be interesting to see what happens with Ford going forward. He and Nsekhe rotated at right tackle every couple series all season until Nsekhe was injured week eleven in Miami and missed the next five games. In that time, Ford manned the right tackle position by himself. The second round rookie was inconsistent, but got better as the season progressed. He had trouble with speed rushers on the outside. With a full off-season as a pro he should get better. But will it be good enough to continue to start at right tackle? Could the team even move him inside to guard, where he also played plenty in college and many projected him to play in the NFL? At the end-of-season press conference, general manager Brandon Beane would not commit either way, only saying they value his position flexibility.’
The Bills might already have their answer for RB2 on the team
‘There were fumbling issues during the summer for sure, but why in the final eight weeks when Gore averaged under 3.0 YPC seven times, did Yeldon not see any opportunity?’
Will the Bills alter their approach to adding assets to their playoff roster?
‘Buffalo’s roster has fewer holes than it’s had in quite some time. Earning a role as a player has come with a greater degree of difficulty with each passing year. The Bills have the look of a perennial playoff contender.’
Bills Today | Brandon Beane: We want to continue to stay strong up front
‘”If you’re not good up front it’s hard to execute,” Beane explained. “We want to continue to stay strong up front. I’m not saying we’ve arrived up there either, we need to continue to get better. Then, also adding weapons for him [Josh Allen].”‘
