‘Allen showed significant improvement in his second season, but he has a long way to go to become a franchise QB.’

Buffalo Bills’ locker room filled with pain after loss to Texans; but there’s still hope for fans
‘Bills safety Micah Hyde said that it’s going to take eight months for the “nasty taste” of this loss – a 22-19 overtime heartbreaker – to go away. That’s when this team, which will be different by then, will get a chance to show the lessons it’s learned from a season that’s proven the process is on track.’
Buffalo Bills players react to season ending loss to Houston Texans
‘That one hurts. Can’t thank the Bills Mafia enough for an amazing first season. All glory to God through all the ups and downs. We’ll be back.’
Lorenzo Alexander retires, hopes to have Kyle Williams type role in Buffalo Bills organization
‘Alexander, 36, spent four seasons with the Bills and 15 total seasons in the league. In 2016, the linebacker led Buffalo in sacks (12.5). His play earned him a Pro Bowl nod that season and he was also recognized as a second-team All-Pro. He had previously been named to the Pro Bowl in 2012 when he was with Washington.’
Texans’ DeAndre Hopkins says Buffalo Bills’ Tre’Davious White hasn’t earned his respect
‘Now, the Houston Texans wide receiver is doubling-down. In a sit-down interview with Michael Irvin of the NFL Network, Hopkins said that White had not yet earned his respect as he doesn’t play one-on-one (man coverage). Hopkins had said White was the sixth best cornerback in the league heading into their matchup when asked to rank the top cornerbacks in the league.’
Buffalo Bills vs. Texans inactives are out: Will Fuller, Jonathan Joseph won’t play for Houston
‘The Bills are remarkably healthy for this game and their only player missing today will be starting cornerback Levi Wallace, who injured his ankle last week against the New York Jets. That means that former Texans cornerback Kevin Johnson will get the start against Houston.’
Bills Mafia making presence known ahead of Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans Wild Card Game
‘And, of course, there was at least one table broken leading up to the start of the game.’
Sullivan: Bills give fans a reminder of playoff life, for better and worse
‘Then reality came calling. In the end, the Bills played like a young team that wasn’t quite ready for the biggest stage. They had an opponent down and couldn’t put them away. In the most crucial moments, they lost their poise and went to pieces when the Texans got up off the mat.’
Yet another example of Buffalo Bills playoff heartbreak
‘Armed with a 16-0 lead in the third quarter against a team that has a poor track record in playoff games, the Bills found so many ways to blow the game, it began hard to keep track.’
Brasky: Bills’ postseason defeat proved Allen, Bills are not finished products
‘This certainly isn’t a ‘sky is falling’ scenario, as Allen helped lead the Bills to their best campaign in two decades and within yards of their first playoff win since 1995. However, the work is not finished for Allen, nor for the Bills. While many wanted more, what Buffalo gave its fans this season was something to build on, as this team and its quarterback remain a work in progress.’
Buffalo Bills Report Card: Bills blow 16-point lead, lose wild card game to Texans
‘The offensive line had a so-so day. Giving up that sack to J.J. Watt likely gave the Texans a spark they desperately needed. That was a turning point in the game. The Bills blocked well on the designed run by Allen which was the longest offensive play of the game. They blocked on several of Singletary’s runs and on the long screen pass. And while the Texans sacked Allen three times, all the sacks were costly. One forced the Bills to kick a field goal. Another pushed them out of field goal range. The line improved in 2019-20, but it should remain a priority for the front office going into 2020.’
Hornell native, Bills superfan has moment in the spotlight
‘“A lot of people take pictures at the games. Generally it seems like they all have good motives and I figure I’m at a spot in my life where I know who I am, I know what my body looks like and I’m comfortable with it,” French said. “People are going to say whatever they’re going to say, but I focus on the more positive or funny things and the ones that are more hateful or negative I tend to just ignore and move on to the positive stuff.”‘
The Great Escape: Watson’s magic lifts Texans past Bills in OT
‘But with Buffalo facing third down from the Houston 12-yard line, Watt — playing in his first game since going on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle — sacked Buffalo’s plucky quarterback Josh Allen. Texans players afterward called that the game’s turning point.’
Patience, Bills fans: Josh Allen will win a Super Bowl
‘Allen is not always going to make questionable decisions due to his youth and immaturity. He’s going to be a good one, perhaps even reach Jim Kelly-like status.’
