‘“Absolutely,” McDermott said when asked if Williams’ play merits consideration for playoff playing time. “We had a good week of practice and we got some good work in there with some guys working against each other. So it gave us an opportunity to evaluate and watch how guys handled the week and then how they handled today. It’s all about growing as a football team – who can help us the most.”’

Buffalo Bills CB Levi Wallace carted off with leg injury after interception
‘It was Wallace’s second interception this season and came off a deflection off of cornerback Taron Johnson. After Wallace came down with the ball he seemed to twist his leg awkwardly as he fell to the ground. Trainers came running onto the field and he was carried off while not being able to put any pressure on his right leg. The cart met him on the sidelines and he was taken into the locker room.’
Josh Allen, Lorenzo Alexander, Micah Hyde react to Buffalo Bills’ playoff match up vs. Texans
‘“Knowing the names that are on their team, they’re gonna have J.J. Watt back and (Whitney) Mercilus, he just signed a new deal today. Those are guys that kind of got after us last year. I remember playing them in that stadium, it’s gonna be loud. We gotta go in there and utilize some silent counts, no doubt. At the end of the day it’s playoff football. It’s win or go home. We gotta have a really good week this week and prepare, game plan, and be ready for whatever they throw at us on Sunday or Saturday. It’s just one of those games where anything can happen. We’re in the dance, we know that. We gotta go out there and try to execute.”’

Sullivan: Home finale had plenty of meaning for outgoing Alexander
‘Alexander’s parents came in for the game. He stood proudly with his wife and his other children as Zoie sang, thinking “Don’t forget the words, don’t forget the words.” He said a few of his teammates were crying afterwards. It was that sort of moment.’
Buffalo Bills Week 17 Report Card: Bills lose meaningless finale to Jets, prep for playoffs
‘It was a good day for two guys who usually don’t get a lot of action, wide receiver Duke Williams and tight end Tommy Sweeney. Williams led the Bills with six catches for 108 yards. Sweeney added five catches for 76 yards. The Bills rested the team’s top receivers, Cole Beasley and John Brown. It was the Williams and Sweeney Show Sunday afternoon.’

McClain: Texans have Buffalo on their mind
‘“(Buffalo coach) Sean McDermott does a great job, so you know it’s a big challenge,” O’Brien said. “They’re well-coached. We know Buffalo is a good team. They do a lot of things well.”’
Jets Close Season With 13-6 Win Over Playoff-Bound Bills
‘Otherwise, the game between the Jets and Bills was a defensive struggle that befitted the sloppy conditions, with a persistent drizzle falling for most of the afternoon.’
Bills cornerback Levi Wallace out with ankle injury
‘The second-year corner fell awkwardly after grabbing his first career interception off a deflected pass and received medical attention on the field before being helped to the sideline. Unable to put any weight on his right leg, Wallace was carted to the locker room from there.’
Bills cannot escape the injury bug in a 13-6 loss to the Jets
‘Buffalo is dealing with a couple of injuries in this game, as cornerbacks Levi Wallace and Taron Johnson and offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe all left the game with injuries. All three players would not return after their respective injuries, with defensive back hit hard enough that wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie wound up taking two snaps at cornerback at the end of the game. Offensive tackle Cody Ford and defensive back Siran Neal were also injured but returned to the game.’
It’s on to Houston
‘Now we can set our sights on the playoffs and the Houston Texans. If you’re worried about the Bills going into the post season with back to back losses for the first time this season, don’t. This game meant absolutely nothing and it won’t affect the Bills confidence in the least. Don’t forget, the Bills did go 6-2 on the road this season.’
Arrow Up/Arrow Down – Jets at Bills
‘It was the last home game of the season end it would have been great for the Bills to at least get in the end zone one time to give the home fans something to cheer about, regardless of who was playing and who wasn’t, but they weren’t able to and came away with only three points on the day. The Bills got inside the Jets 20 yard line twice but came away with only one field goal to show for it.’
