‘Josh Allen is dynamic and fun to watch, but the Bills need their quarterback to be more consistently accurate throwing the ball. There are times in the game when he fails to make an easy throw, like we saw on Saturday against the Patriots. Had he connected in the back of the end zone to tight end Dawson Knox, the Bills might have pulled off the upset. The Bills are back, and they’ll be a threat in the playoffs, but in order to go far in the postseason, they need Allen to become more accurate.’

‘The problem is that if Allen is in the game for a series or a half, what is the point? There’s no case to be made that the action will have even the slightest benefit to how he performs against the Texans or Chiefs. The Texans without Fuller is a significant downgrade in their offense. Houston defensive end J.J. Watt is reportedly getting ready to return for his team’s playoff game after rehabbing back from a torn pectoral muscle suffered earlier this season. He’s an elite pass rusher but will probably be held to limited snaps in his first action in about three months.’

‘“We’ll be smart with that, but it’s important we get work in fundamentally in terms of execution so we stay as sharp as we can be,” McDermott said. “It’s a delicate balance to remaining sharp and keeping our edge and also working to continue to get better.”’

‘The Jets have shown they can battle back as well, albeit a little too late. They have won five of their last seven games and want nothing more than to end the season strong and with another victory. “It’s important, man,” Adams said. “That’s our goal. We’re treating this game as a playoff game. This our mindset going into it. We’re excited that they’re playing their starters. I can tell you that. We’re going to be out there hunting.”’
