‘Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll had the internet out in droves with people’s pitch forks waving after six straight run plays in Pittsburgh territory after White’s second interception. The Bills had to settle for a field goal and the ultra conservative approach could have cost them if they weren’t playing such an inept offense, which turned it over five times. The Bills face another tough defense next week in the Patriots and it will require a more dynamic and aggressive approach.’

Buffalo Bills GM on team clinching playoff birth: ’We’ve by no means arrived’
‘“We still have work to do but we’re a work in progress,” Beane said. “We’ve by no means arrived. We’re thrilled that we made the playoffs. That’s obviously our first goal is to get into the tournament. But we’ve got two games left. A big division game against a team that we’ve not beat since Sean and I have been here. We would love to do but it’ll be tough to do at their place.”’
’Playoffs?! PLAYOFFS!!’ Buffalo Bills players react to making postseason
‘Following their 17-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, many Bills fans went on social media to share their excitement. Here is a look at some of the reactions as they reacted to their win and playoff berth.’
Tre’Davious White, Buffalo Bills secondary lead team to playoff berth: 10 reasons to be encouraged, 4 reasons to be worried
‘Some of Brian Daboll’s play calls were very frustrating. The Bills offensive coordinator called back-to-back Frank Gore runs deep in Steelers territory that went for a loss of seven yards. One of the plays looked like it was going to be a Gore throw, but the Steelers weren’t fooled. Facing a 3rd and goal from the 15, Daboll played not to lose by calling a run to Singletary that also went for a loss. The drive ultimately ended in a field goal that tied the game.’
Duck Hunted! Buffalo BIlls are playoff bound following 17-10 win over Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 15 report card)
‘Buffalo’s secondary was outstanding against Duck Hodges and the Steelers. Tre’Davious White showed that he belongs to be mentioned alongside Stephon Gilmore as the best cornerbacks in the league with two interceptions. Jordan Poyer added an interception late and Levi Wallace, a cornerback who has struggled this season, sent the Bills to the playoffs with his interception at the end of the game.’
Who woulda thought? Buffalo Bills are playoff bound (National media reactions)
‘Sean McDermott has now led the Bills to the playoffs twice in his first 3 seasons. Wade Phillips, Gregg Williams, Mike Mularkey, Dick Jauron, Chan Gailey, Doug Marrone, and Rex Ryan led Buffalo to the playoffs 0 times in the previous 17 seasons, since 2000.’
Sullivan: The Bills are in the playoffs, and clearly on the rise as a franchise
‘But at this point, how could we rule anything out for this resilient young team? Certainly they’ll be a live underdog in a wild-card playoff game on the road. That would most likely be at Houston after the Texans knocked off the Titans on Sunday.’
Playoffs taste like cooked ‘Duck’
‘Though much of Sunday’s performance was not pretty for Bills fans to watch, the result is all that matters. Ten times in 14 tries, the Bills have been on the right side of the result this season, and that’s something worth celebrating.’
Buffalo Bills Week 15 Report Card: Bills win 10th game, clinch playoff spot
‘A great performance by the Bills’ defensive front. Jordan Phillips had two sacks, including one on the Steelers’ final drive. He has been an animal up the middle this season. Shaq Lawson and Trent Murphy added sacks. Lawson was a monster on the outside. He was outstanding against the pass and run. The Bills’ defense held the Steelers to 51 rushing yards.’
Bills clinch playoff berth with 17-10 win at Pittsburgh
‘It’s Buffalo’s first 10-win season of the century — specifically, in 20 years, since 1999.’
Bills Mafia invades Steeler Nation and leaves with a playoff berth
‘Steelers Nation was still plenty loud on third and fourth downs, but on a night that players called for a “black-out” from their home crowd to complement their all-black “color rush” jerseys, there was a very noticeable amount of blue parked in yellow seats. The announced attendance was 64,694, highest since the season opener against Seattle and the first time hitting 64,000 since Week 5 against Baltimore.’
‘Bills Mafia’ a significant presence at Heinz Field in win over Steelers
‘Blotches of red and blue were seen throughout Heinz Field, and after Buffalo touchdowns and takeaways, the cheering was audibly louder, perhaps, than it has been in several years for a visiting team in Pittsburgh.’

No one pays attention to the Buffalo Bills. But they’re back in the playoffs after winning in Pittsburgh.
‘This is a team capable of winning in the postseason. Coach Sean McDermott has given the Bills an identity since arriving in 2017 and immediately ending a string of 17 straight non-playoff seasons.’
Allen’s Fourth-Quarter TD Clinches Playoff Spot For Bills
‘Buffalo (10-4) won for the fourth time in five games and recorded its first 10-win season since 1999. The Bills also beat the Steelers for the second time ever in Pittsburgh, first since a 21-point win in the 1993 AFC Divisional playoff round.’
