‘The Browns came into this game as the 29th ranked defense against the run, and 30th in yards perplex allowed. Even though Cleveland was doing a nice job stopping the run, the Bills could – and should – have stuck with pounding the ball at them, remaining patient. The game was always close. There was no need to get away from doing that at any point. Devin Singletary did start popping a few runs and finished the game averaging 5.3 yards per carry. But that was only only on eight runs. Singletary and Frank Gore combined for only 13 carries. As a team, the Bills ran the ball only 20 times compared to 41 passes.’

‘Allen kept the Bills alive and drove the team down to the Cleveland 35-yard line. Hauschka came out to attempt a game-tying 53-yard field goal, but missed it. Cleveland came out for a kneel down and that was it.’
Bills author goal line stop for ages
‘The Browns had eight tries from inside the two yard line. The Bills stopped them all.’
Strategy over culture
‘A comeback win that would have been frosted by all the culture pixie dust falling off Josh Allen’s (11th this year) fumble forward that Jon Feliciano recovered for a first and goal. But, the Bills just aren’t talented enough to make that win happen.’
Game Recap | Bills come up short in loss to Cleveland

Top 3 things we learned from Bills at Browns | Week 10
‘“The fact is our defense played extremely well and gave us a chance,” said Josh Allen. “Everyone knows you have to score more than 16 points to win games in this league. We didn’t do that. We didn’t execute.”’
Quote Sheet | Bills players and coaches take full responsibility in loss
‘“The fact is our defense played extremely well today. They gave us a chance. Everybody knows that you have to score more than 16 to win in this league. We didn’t get that today. We didn’t execute. I have to do a better job finding completions and getting the ball to our guys. When I have deep shots, I have to take advantage and be able to connect on those. That’s something we’re going to work on. Obviously, we’re disappointed with today. We’re going to learn from it. This one hurts because of the preparation that we had, I thought, was good enough. We had a really good week at practice. There were opportunities in that game where I have to be better. I have to put our offense in better situations, and I just didn’t do that today.”’
Inactives | Corey Liuget set to make Bills debut; Vincent Taylor inactive

Bills Today | Wide receiver John Brown is setting Bills records
‘On Sunday, Brown became the first Bill in franchise history to record four receptions and 50 yards receiving in nine straight games, passing Andre Reed’s record of eight games in 1988-89. He’s the first Bill to open the season with nine games of 50-plus receiving yards since Eric Moulds in 2002.’
Bills’ Jordan Poyer about to come full circle from his ‘crucible moment’
‘It was his final game with the Browns, but Poyer, twisting in the grass, didn’t know that yet. He didn’t know he’d suffered a lacerated kidney, or that he was minutes from leaving the stadium in an ambulance, or that he’d spend two days in a Nashville hospital before being driven 500 miles back to Cleveland.’
Browns’ run game promises to provide a tough test for Bills’ defense
‘Browns 20, Bills 17.’
At 6-2, Bills are ahead of expectations
‘If they beat the Browns to improve to 7-2 overall, 5-1 in the AFC and 4-0 on the road, they are for real. Does that mean they are a Super Bowl contender? I wouldn’t go that far.’
