‘“Not many people tear their quad off,” said Heather Linden, the director of physical therapy at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, where Liuget trained last summer. “It’s very uncommon. Normally, you’ll get the ligaments that tear before that severe of a muscle tear. It is very rare. I’ve probably worked with about 10 in the 14 years I’ve been a clinician, so I’ve seen it. But ACLs, I’ve probably done 500.”’

Bills defensive tackle Harrison Phillips endures long, lonely rehab road from knee injury
‘Ultimately, people come back at six months. Six months from the injury, I’m not playing a game. But that doesn’t mean that we’re going to slow anything down rehab-wise. That means that it’s more of a nine-month injury, because I won’t play football again for nine months. So, yes, OTAs, we can do some stuff. I’ll jog around and with some helmets on and do football drills, but I’m not going to be fully padded and play a double team with 700 pounds coming at me until training camp.’

Is it time to give Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson contract extensions?
‘It makes sense for the Bills, but it might not make sense for the players. Phillips has seven sacks, which ranks second among defensive tackles in the NFL behind only two-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald. At this point, Phillips might want to take his chances on the open market in search of a bigger pay day. The Bills will have the money to do just about anything they want in free agency, but starting with their own is a good plan. It sends a good message to the locker room: Play well here, and you’ll get paid. I’d expect there will be a high priority put on retaining Phillips. Lawson is more of an interesting question. He wasn’t drafted by this regime, but has arguably played better than Trent Murphy.’
Roth: Bills must play without fear in order to secure playoff berth
‘By facing a finishing stretch that looks like the “after’’ picture in a fitness club ad, the Bills can silence those skeptics and move up the power rankings, which right now has them sitting 14th by NFL.com and barely hanging on to the final wild-card spot in the AFC.’

Andre Roberts: It’s ‘much better’ being with Buffalo Bills than New York Jets
‘”It’s so much better than being in New Jersey. It’s a little colder up here, but it’s a lot better. The organization is better from top to bottom. It’s my sixth team so I can definitely compare good from bad and this is one of the better organizations so it’s good to be here.”‘

Bills D preparing to be tested by Broncos offense
‘“Big target, man. Big, athletic guy that can move, get off the line and runs great routes,” cornerback Tre’Davious White told reporters this week. “Again, whenever (Sutton) lines up to my side, I have to be ready. Whenever he goes to Levi and Kevin’s side, they’ve got to be ready. So, he’s a big target so it’ll take a total team effort to try to slow that guy down for sure.”’
